So now…my studio has had updates.
The ‘Cupboard of Creativity’ (note towels at top of photo
) is looking fairly nifty with equipment and i have adorned it with some new speakers. As its a very small space, no speaker will ever sound perfect (without spending rather a lot) so i wanted some just to give my ears a rest from headphones.
They are Creative T100, the only decent budget priced and very narrow speakers i could find which sound ok. Not good monitor standard but are do able for some purposes. (Note the plastic wrapper is still on speakers for my fiancé to tear off, … …Tell me who doesn’t love that satisfying feeling?
)
I also very recently bought a great controller. Mainly intended for my live open mic nights and what ever live gigs come if I become more established. Or do live streams etc. Akai MPD 232. I haven’t connected it up successfully yet due to my daw Studio One v4 convoluted way of dealing with MIDI. Also a reason I haven’t (very frustratingly) got proper use yet of the wonderful ASM Hydrasynth. Soon tho i will get a MIDI thru box or try figure out my sub zero 4x4 midi box again. Ive very recently found diagrams online that could help so i am at last hopeful of a working studio used to its full capacity. Not just looking pretty.
If that fails (unless anyone here can help me) Il pay for help from these guys. Obedia.
