The boys from Rank 1 finally made some new own singles. They played these new tracks on ASOT 950. No release-date yet, if released at all. But it's on spotify now including the titles. So here we go:

Rank 1 - Translantic Communication [0:00]
Rank 1 - Predictive Memory [10:00]
Rank 1 - 'No name' [12:25] //
Rank 1 - Paris Nice Cannes [17:00]

As for the last one... I'm pretty sure the (partly Dutch) lyrics are:

Paris, Nice, Cannes. Alles Kan. Paris, Nice, Cannes. Koffiekan.

Benno with hair!

Ha, instantly had shivers when I heard Elements of Nature there. What a track that still is!

Translantic Communication has some early 00s Dutch vibe to it. Not my cup of tea.

Predictive Memory is brilliant! Great production. Gonna enjoy this one for sure.

No Name sounds pretty fun.

Paris Nice Cannes is decent, I guess.

Four tracks though. Is there maybe an album in the works? Nobody makes 4 tracks for an EP. Anyways, quality productions as always, nice style as well.

Haha it's actually pretty clear he produces for Armin listening to those new tracks. The first one has those sharp plucks that Armin also uses, and Predictive Memory's intro reminds me of Show Me Love with A&B.

Nice melody in Paris, Nice, Cannes after 19min but I feel like I've heard part of the melody somewhere else.

First thing, I was not expecting the tracks to be this uptempo! I know that they are playing at a higher BPM regardless, but the tracks sound crisp and made for 136ish.
- Translantic Communication is rather simplistic, but I love the early 2000s vibe even if the plucks are indeed Armin like
- Predictive Memory is fantastic, love the percussion and the synth is similar to Elements of Nature, which I adore
- No Name is more of a party track, a bit more commercial I'd say. It made me think of how the Dutch Trance sort of felt back in 98-99 vs. traditional trance
- Paris Nice Cannes - I'm not a fan of the intro, but the melody is great, and it has that Rank 1 sound they morfed into since L.E.D. There Be Light

And yes, Elements of Nature is one of those high-quality gems that did not get a lot of airplay because it was a proglifter and therefore people will not play it in the 140 sets. Absolute nonsense if you ask me, what a choon!
Last thing: thank you for playing as many of the elements as possible live! Those slightly off Airwave and Beats@Rank1dotcom melodies make the tracks sound a bit fresh after thousands of play haha. Although the L.E.D. melody was butchered

Indeed.

Also like the last few notes on Superstring, where Benno adds a few higher notes.

I think they used the stutter FX a little but too much, but all in all, those Rank 1 live sets are always fun.

I must say I enjoyed Transatlantic Communication a bit!
