Not as good as your solo stuff, but enjoyable nonetheless! What makes it slightly inferior for me is not the fact that it's not as classic sounding, but that it sounds a bit more "harsh" and "busy" than your tracks. :)

Yeah it is less "classic", we both brought in elements that were of each other, I couldnt say to Sean "it has to sound classic" just like he wouldnt say to me "it needs to sound modern" - i think our end result was a nice balance of the two.

I really really like it!!! I've listened it 10 times or so. I am in opposite directions as some here, I would lick this style more than a few of the more oldschool classic solo ones you have released sir. I love the break and this hypnotic melody/sound, it always bring me memories of trance from early 2008-2012 for me.

Btw how absolutely banger is the Matt Fax mix on the ASOT link above!!!! His desk skills also rock and all these tunes are soooo good!

Nice work - spotted the lately bass immediately. The lead sound is very reminiscent of ‘Sublime’ by Ferry & Thrillseekers.
Had to listen without watching the vid though - Armin uplifting arms and all his fanbois and fanladygirls just gives me the shits.

Haha it's cheese isn't it. The whole hand in the air on the drop from Armin. 😆

Yeah lately bass in there hence the name of the track (creative eh 😆)

Finally listening on actual monitors and not a phone (yeah). The track sounds very Ferry - Fullfillment-y to me. With an extra synth on top of it.

I like the bouncy Fullfillment-y bass. I thought the whole thing was going to be more modern (based on phone), but it wasn't that modern. Glad it's somewhere in the middle like some of you already pointed out.

Btw he says "This is the new Sean Tyas". What an a-hole, not mentioning your name lol.

lol, I literally played that part 3-4 times, I was like "did he forget mentioning playing this track, oh no he refers to Sean Tyas... but no Enigma State?"

Not sure if he did/does this on purpose, but for sure it would be very big support seeing such legendary djs with so big crowd helping real trance producers make a name to the scene.

about the track, I wrote my opinion above, I really like it and I prefer it than some oldschool trance classic sounds. And yeah ~7 minutes for the Original mix is perfect imo. ~10 minutes is most of the times too long for me, and this is one of the reason sometimes I can't enjoy some of The Digital Blonde tracks.

definitely not on purpose like it's something against ES, more like that just don't care and often only name the bigger artists they know themselves, like if playing an upcomers remix of a well known DJ and only naming the original author like it's his track

if you listen careful you can find such moment in almost every episode

they have their scripts written that way probably to save time from not saying something they consider not that important

in a way that's ironic how they both help smaller artists but also treat them poorly in such cases. Armada in a nutshell

Haha yeah I don't think it was intentional. Must have not shown the full name on his display but it's cool. They also had the label wrong too so I'm sure it was just a mishap. Still cool all the same that it's had ASOT support at least.
Yeah Fulfillment also uses the Lately Bass sound too.

So that’s a preset or something right? What synth is it from? :)
Veeeeery famously known prest from the Yamaha DX series synths. Some synths it was called Lately Bass, and others 'Solid Bass'
Was heavily used back in the day for 90s dance and house music and then it made its way into Trance and used as bass and also pluck.
Listen to Alibi - Eternity which uses it for the Pluck. Above & Beyond we're also frequently users of it on their earlier stuff.
