Signum - Flashback / Miharo [Xposed]

Flashback has that instant classic Signum feel, I instantly loved it when the bass and percs came in. I think its a very good track, albeit a bit straight forward and lacking that little something to take it to full magic mind-flight mode (for me anyway).

Miharo sounds like a modern uplifter which i'm not really into much anymore but maybe some here will enjoy it.

Flashback sounds like a proper modern version of his old style. Very nice, but it makes me wanting to hear something iconic too from the climax.

I can appreciate this, but not much to be honest. Lacks that something, as you said, but props to him for bringing it up. Can hear a bit of 2006 in the second track.

Yeah me too. I actually really like the melody, just want that mystical/space/rawness trance feeling of old in this climax part as well.

The sound from 1:00 in a second track kinda reminds me of The Thrillseekers sound, especially of Ferry Corsten - Sublime (The Thrillseekers Remix)

I didn't really enjoy it, but the first one definitely has the classic 90's Signum feel to it (Gamemaster remix/Bulgarian remix/What Ya Got 4 Me/Coming On Strong) and that's pretty cool.

The vinyl release has been available for a while now.
This week, Signum finally announced the digital release will be in Jan 22.

I slightly prefer Miharo, but both of them are good combinations of old and new sound, around 7/10 from me

Melody in Flashback is nice but the easy base, almost late 90s signum housey feel, doesn't do it justice. I appreciate the nod to it but struggle to be grabbed by it. It's almost too simple to stand out. It's plus is there are no steroid burritos (nod to Magnevi)

Flashback is indeed a nice throwback track to their early sounds, very summery and housy in some respects. I quite like the eerie chants in the break. I think for the climax maybe a key change or something to bring that euphoric feel from the Dutch trance era could work wonders.

Miharo has some nice sounding acids and the vocals fits the spot again. The lead does remind me of early 2000s tracks, but not sure if the combo with his kick (similar, but toned down a bit, to Blockbuster) works here. And yes, there's 100% a Thrillseekers inspiration as @Uplifted mentioned

Miharo extended mix (mp3 320) has been out since 25/03/2022!! and I was able to obtain the extended mixes of the entire compilation (pirated) just to get my hands on Miharo initially but noticed Ghost is on there too for those interested, obviously try to buy it if you can within your jurisdiction, I just had to quench my thurst in the meantime as I no longer purchase cd formats whilst waiting on digitally released Miharo ep..which should be out this month, so ill be purchasing that in Hi-Res as soon as it becomes available including Ghost.
