As someone who has no knowledge of how to produce, what aspects are bad? If you hadn't mentioned anything I would not have thought too much about mastering , it doesn't seem obvious to me that its bad. I guess some elements seem a bit lost in the overal mix? It certainly seems like a less spacious sounding track than if it was released on Forescape, but Is that not just an artistic decision when the artist is making the track i.e to put the low-end bass in less focus and/or some effects quieter and less pronounced? Just curious really.Great track but the mastering is so bad..
Well, I don't even know where to start in this case. It sounds like a mess. If I would have signed this track I'd ask my mastering engineer on what needs to be done by producer first. This way he will be able to deliver the best possible mixdown afterwards. Also, It's a good practice to show the producer mastered version of his track before sending it to the stores. As someone who has no knowledge of how to produce, what aspects are bad?
