Solarstones Dark Heart was originally issued as an exclusive download for fans buying his 2008 album Rain Stars Eternal. Sam Laxton, having developed a penchant for breaks-driven-trance, fell in love with the Solarstone-sung Dark Heart and created this more-than-a-collaboration-than-a-remix affectionately titled Dark Heart Breaks. Chunky beats and fuzzy bass form the backbone of this sci-fi FX sprinkled monster with tangy trance melodies and Richards plaintive vocal at the fore. The addition of a seriously juicy rave-hoover-propelled middle bit (to coin a Chris Lowe phrase) really elevates this record. Its a SMASH!

I am unsure if I like it. Some euphoric synths that are very nice but vocals I just don’t know.

@Hoahoa Yes it is indeed Rich singing. He has a few tracks where he takes the vocal.
