Quite nice for a modern tune. The drums came out as flat/sterile/too modern in the start of the tune but it builds the oldschool way and it does it effectively.
Not sure about the vox in the break really, its okeyish i guess, a little corny maybe. After the break it doesnt have me anymore. i dont like the muted gated arp synth here and the melody feels stale to me. The second break is well done with a nice little variation to spice it up. Then he throws in some imo "flat" sounding 90s house piano melody together with the subdued muted gated synth melody and im thinking yeah, nicely done, but I really dont dig it personally. It comes of as random to me, whimsical and corny almost. it doesnt feel meaningful or strong melodically/thematic, more like a fun little jam. Lacks any sort of impact and leaves no impression.

Had potential, the execution is well done, but it got too many flaws, it sounds too sterile/overly clean overall, especially his choice of drums , the kick sound especially dry and basic and the other drums just too polished and flat-sounding.

Seriously I would want SS to make more airy/floating stuff again. He did that the best. These almost borderline "new agey" sampled floating textures and melodies with a no-nonsense punchy "trancified" production.

Woah I love this. So unique and cool from Rich again. When it all comes together at the end I think its really takes off.

Ahhh I think the climaxes here are not as strong as the breakdowns. I love the vocals, the breakdown in the original is lovely. But in general, lots to like about these two.

Some nice unique sounds here,a breath of fresh air compared to modern Trance - i agree the 4/4 drums lets it down a bit,but i like that reverbed percussion. Wasnt too keen on the vocal at first, you can tell Rich is singing hehe - but they do grow on you as the track plays. I do think that piano sounds pretty cheap though.

Cool track, I can definitely trance out hard to this one. Piano maybe does feel not connected but I still think it’s a fun aspect to the track and overall I like it.

I knew the vocals from somewhere (or 'lyrics' I guess), but it didn't click until later:

Simon and Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence

or if you prefer the Disturbed cover:

As for the track variants themselves, not sure what's happening with the Stripped Mix. It seems all over the place to me.

The original though is nice, but I agree, the piano sounds a bit cheap.

Like what he has done here. He is definitely one of the most creative big guys still in the scene. Sometimes works, sometimes not, but always un conventional.
