I was expecting the melody to go a bit more epic emotional, something like in Gai Barone's Shiny.
For a comparison, this tune stays as cold as a killer, while Shiny sounds like the emotions of someone who has found a person they know, killed.

But I don't rate music based on what I'm emotionally expecting.
It's a really good, ambitious track with an intriguing atmosphere and strong sound design.

Hold on a moment... This is probably my weirdest 'review' of a track ever, lol

Out now in all major stores and streaming services. Full YT previews hopefully coming soon.

Fantastic release. Shibui has great energy and just enough wonkiness for us to know who it's coming from. Reactivate is a lovely alternative to the Solarstone retouch, much more raw, and in places, much better - just listen to that breakdown.

Hard to determine a favourite. Maybe it's Reactivate, only due to the huge variety in energy levels and sounds used. Shibui is a much more focused listening experience, so I'm anticipating a more positive reaction to it here.

Trance with balls and identity.

can't say I'm totally sold on the melodies and sound design but love the unpredictability of both, they just screw default tracks strictures we're so used to these days

Reactivate is just psycho,
it is absolutely not normal. 😁

Shibui like I previously said, is almost something I could expect from Gai Barone a couple of years ago.

It's very good, but Reactivate takes the cake.
The bat $hit creative track, it stands out.

High praise indeed! It took me so long to finish, it's insane - I've recently started a Masters in Electronic Music Production, and I studied reflective theory, examined my process as to why this track was taking too long to finish, and applied my new workflow to finally finishing this track, then applied the workflow to a new track and Shibui was born. It too a week from start to having the final master. Reactivate took me 18 months!!!!

I've learned my lesson, and there's a lot more batshit on its way which isn't really able to be categorised into any particular genre, but it's all me.

The support from this forum and its wonderful admin never fails to amaze me. Even the forum members who aren't keen are kind and reasonable, and this place is a breath of fresh air!

Thank you all - we do listen.

(oh, and the track is so batshit, because I'd got a new piece of gear I was trying out, recorded seven minutes of it, and didn't want to edit any of it, thus it taking so long to build a track around!)

Here's to me playing a Tulum stage soon to more confetti canons than there are audience members!

Love

Really curious what's the workflow like - from 18 months to a week is insane, even if it's just an anomaly or too small of a sample to properly judge. Would be interested in reading more about this, and I'm sure the forum producers would be spamming you for tips anyways.

Hahaha they are all wonderful. 💕

Well done man!

I need to consider this...
I have a big project, that's now been taking
5 years and it's still not ready. 😅

A breath of fresh air!

That pretty much is how we feel, when something creative and unique, like your productions, hits the threads here.
Something different, always a good thing
for men in their midlife crisis. 😁

Now I understand better, why it needed 18 months.
It was worth it though!
