Want a Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar so bad... But can't justify that price for a fucking gadget I'd really use 5 times a year I'm hiking and for a weekly run.

Unfortunately (or rather fortunately), it isn't available here in monthly rates, only cash. Thankfully I don't plan on owning a credit car, ever.

Why aren't things free???? 😭

The new galaxy flip z5 is awesome.
Samsung USA customers got crazy trade-in values for their phones. I paid $900 last year for my flip z4, and my trade-in for my flip z5 was... $900.

Replaced my broken phone with Poco M5 ~2 months ago, and now the price has suddenly gone down

Well... I did cross the street today and purchased a Garmin fenix 7 Sapphire Solar. 30% in advance, the rest in monthly rates. Got a 10% discount on it as well. My cynicism says I'll grow bored of it in two weeks, but what the hell... I paid for it, the money is gone and the watch is mine.

Review to follow.

First impressions:

1. The X version (the largest one) is unnecessary; it would look huge on my wrist. The regular version is enough.
2. The screen is very very very very VERY dim indoors. You can use background lighting, and that improves it. But outside though, it's very bright. Unusual but very useful.
3. You can't seem to turn off the screen (except for sleep mode). So it's always on. Unnecessarily so, but since it's dim indoors anyways it doesn't bother me.
4. The screen itself is tragic. Low resolution (260x260), only 64 colours. It seems like it's really not supposed to be used as a regular digital smartwatch, which sucks. Unfortunately, Epix 2 wasn't available with its amazing AMOLED screen.
5. I wish I could get a brown leather wrist strap. Looks absolutely stunning. It costs a fortune though.
6. I wish I could've gotten a Pro version, they have LED lights.
7. OS is Garmin's, and as I said, regular smartwatch features aren't its thing.
8. How good it would be if the store allowed you to try out devices before purchasing...

If there was one single thing I would fix, it's the screen resolution.

Will test it out, more to follow.

Just preordered my S23+ with 512 GB of storage for around 1260 Euros (price was the same for the 256-GB one as part of a promotion). It will be 2 hard, long weeks before it arrives but for now, I'm just glad I don't have to decide anymore.
I know who won't be ordering the new S24+. The improvements are marginal. Not worth losing money on it, even though it's 110€ cheaper than S23+ was.

Check this one out. This is about AI autocorrecting mistakes and lines of codes as well.

The first Neuralink case study... Absolutely mind-blowing! Controlling interfaces just with his mind, including playing Mario Kart at the level of your average person.... with his MIND! Elon has his critics, but this is quite revolutionary and should improve thousands of lives.
