I'll say that his stuff isn't usually the most texturally complex, but it's always got nice driving energy and his soundscapes are A+. Not all hypnotech is actually that, well, hypnotic, but his tunes almost always are for me.
Will definitely give it a listen this weekend. Have had it on my "watchlist" for some days now on Spotify. Currently rocking Daniel Avery's new album; That thing slaps as well!
Yeah, I like it a lot! I feel like Avery's LPs haven't really been cohesive since Song for Alpha (he did admit that they were essentially collections of tunes he made over the pandemic), but his new one returns to feeling a bit more complete.
Well, except for Illusion of Time but that one's a bit different. (it probably belongs in the Analog Relaxation thread instead heh)
