utterly weird remix, sounding more like a mashup with Madagascar, the vocals just don't follow the chords

dub mix sounds fine but has nothing to do with the original tune

I should put some context around my approach for this remix as there is a bigger picture,...I knew it was going to be a part of a 3 series release, so I knew there was going to be multiple versions of it, and taking that into account plus the fact that the track has had so many remixes over the years, and then pooling all that together and looking at how many of those remixes repeated the same formula, same melody, and same chord sequence it just, for me, seemed wrong to rinse and repeat again.
In addition my stance on a remix is to 'remix', not 'redo', and on a vocal track I will always aim to do something different to the original. It's my way of saying "if I wrote this track, what would I have done?"
Aside from the vocal (and the track is in key with the vocal) there is some elements from the original (like the guitar), but that's how, IMO, a remix should be, unless it's an instrumental track which then you have to use the main lead.
Understandable that some people wont like it, but some will. 🙂

You are of course, more than entitled to your opinion, but I do think you'll be very much in the minority.

Personally both myself and Solarstone think its one of the best remixes on the whole triple pack, but hey, what do we know. ;)

I don't mind having unpopular opinions, another one probably - the overall amount of remixes is just too much with too few interesting ones, even the ES remix at least grabs some attention due to its different approach, some others are just your typical 'same MIDIs, different presets' generic trancers.

I personally enjoy original a lot and my favorite version is Solis & Sean Truby remix from 2017,gives original melodies just the right drive :)

I must confess, that's a first for someone commenting on having too much choice... Its usually the opposite, but I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time eh. One man's generic is another's masterpiece. I appreciate your input though, thank you. :) You know you don't have to buy them all right? :p

I do prefer the dub myself of the two, but to me it sounds more along the lines of a The Mystery type remix from RVDB to me than the mentioned Madagascar. I love so many remixes that take a completely different path to the original though, it's half the fun.

I used to love that back in the day when a remix could almost be classed as an original with only a few elements of the original remaining present and it almost felt like a bonus track on the vinyl/cd release.

Transa, Signum, Mauro Picotto, Matt Darey, Push....etc etc. They all did similar...especially on some of those commercial tracks. Vengaboys, Blockster, Bomfunk MC's and so on.

Also gotta say, vocals fit perfectly - follow the chords completely so no idea where that critique is coming from lol

Wow this came out of the blue for me lol. Enigma State Remix of this track.

And it's.... GOOOOOOOLD CLASSIC TRANCE. Thanks mate for rocking this genre. I'ts lovely.

This made my day already. Glorious fun (slight of cheesy, but I like that) trance. Sort of old-Wippenberg-y.

Thumbs up @Conductor&Cowboy first of all on the Pure Trance Debut.

And though @EnigmaState 's remix seems to be the most popular and nearly took it for me with its brilliant throwback 2000's big chords, my pick actually goes to @Magdelayna 's remix.

class work Adam (Y)

Cheers mate! Chicane just supported my remix on his Sunsets show :)
