I have been informed by our corporate overlords that if Daysleeper rates a track 8/10 and says TOTY, we just have to make this a TOTW at the very least, or else the forum will be shut down.

Really like it, not my favourite DB release, but more than decent.
It's a very good 'journey' track :)

I must admit the gate-ing of the synths remind me of an old Orga release of Ricky.:

Reminds me a bit of Let the light shine in with this reease.

I'm glad someone else knows this one. How he got away with the vox sample ripped from Satoshi Tomiie 'Up In Flames' I'll never know.

Ricky did pretty nice things under his Orga alias :)
And indeed, it's not a subtle small sample, but the complete robotic part. But I think because not many people know this one, that fact made it possible to stay under the radar I guess

The cymbals (starting at 3:30) have so much white noise that honestly makes this otherwise super good tune near unlistenable for me. I can't filter them out.

He got it right with this one. It took me a long time to get into Blonde's new style, with the giant 15 minute intensity synth journeys and I wasn't that persistent with Neon 1 and 2, which had the cathedral gothic retro thing going, but I gave Neon 3 a chance and it grow on me nicely. Now I follow his releases more regularly and have to say he's getting better and better with the refinement of that sound. Still, I hope he pivots into something new eventually, and maybe he will with his new mini album. Just great to see one of the old guard keep it real with the Trance sound when everyone else jumped ship or without even realizing it phasing into one of the many mediocre styles we have to no end today.
