I don't know why, but I can totally visualize a NL or Arab bodybuilder working out to that track somehow

It was pretty fun following steroid trance during its infancy in 2003-2006 but eventually i grew out of it. Not sure who's the culprit here that adds so many layers to a kickdrum that made it into a 20 year 'legacy'. Probably Sean Tyas or DJ Shog? Askew maybe?

Hmm, hmm, very spontaneously... early Kai Tracid stuff, I had this one on a tape back in the days. what was the name of the genre Power Trance or Trancecore?

Formic Acid - Eternia [1995]

this has to make the top 5 of any (proper) steroid trance list
That track did Thomas Bronzwaer dirty 😅

Probably just hard trance. The guy running fits very well with what the track sounds like!

Nowadays you can find countless steroid tracks on smaller labels.
Just an example, a track released today. I dare you to listen to this with your eq on max bass :D

I enjoy a bit of steroid trance on occasion.
Everything in moderation and all that.

Pure bull semen steroids going on in this tune. I quite like it though 😳
Honestly, yeah.
There are times when you want to hear well-crafted, balanced trance with finely-tuned layers and structure like Hoopoe - Matahari.
Then sometimes you just want the balls-to-the-walls, sheer insanity of steroid trance like Indecent Noise, Sneijder, John Askew, and so on. 💪

My next contribution to this thread is Indecent Noise - Cerberus [2014].
It's nuts and would give "Ace da Brain - Depths of Doom" a run for its money.

Played live at Dreamstate:
