Since nobody's posted this yet, might as well add it myself:

Clint Mansell - Lux Aeterna

Used in the movie Requiem For A Dream.

A re-orchestrated version of this, called Requiem for A Tower was used in the trailer for LotR: The Two Towers. The original song itself was also the bgm for about a thousand end of the world videos during mid-2000s YT. For good reason though, it's epic af:

Edit: I suppose it's worth adding another one:

30 Seconds to Mars - Edge of the Earth - licensed, yes. The intro for the 2010 NFS Hot Pursuit reboot.

The E3 reveal trailer of this damn game is still one of my favorites:

Michiel van den Bos - Home Base (UNATCO) (1:53 especially)

Personal favorite off of Conspiravision: Deus Ex Remixed, an album containing a selection of tracks from the original Deus Ex OST, remixed by two of the original producers (Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos).

Came out June 23, 2020, the exact 20 year anniversary of the game's release by Ion Storm / Eidos.

I agree with LoTR! Another soundtrack, which you can listen to from time to time! But there are some more names that are very interesting. For example, back to the future was not on my screen anymore.

Just started playing Horizon Zero Dawn yesterday for the first time, and the soundtrack instantly went into one of my favourites.
Gave me the goosebumps similar to Andy Blueman's music :D

This is one of the best soundtracks I've heard while playing the game at the same time.

Michiru Yamane - Crystal Teardrops (Castlevania SOTN)

also, this one is short but still sends chills down my spine.

Filippo Beck Peccoz - A Mother's Longing (ITORAH)

From an old game called Parsec.

Love how the track slows down before it lits the afterburners.
One of my faves beside the already mentioned NFS Porsche soundtrack.

So I was just reading along the "Has your music taste stopped evolving? Why/why not?" thread started by @dmgtz96 and @Katadunkass had an awesome comment which resonated with me, so I copied it on here and I figured I'd start another thread since it would be an awesome thing to talk about!

"A genre of music I could never live without are game and movie soundtracks. Some of my best memories with music are from various game and movie ost's and some of them still gives me the chills. Now, many of these are for nostalgic reasons no doubt, but holy hell, NieR 2's soundtrack, which I discovered this year, might be some of the best I've listened to in years. So, thankfully I still discover awesome new music there as well."

So what video game soundtracks and film scores have reached you? These are the ones that come to mind for me:

Trevor Rabin - Long Distance Goodbye/Landing (Armageddon Soundtrack, 1998)

Michael Salvatori - Never Forget (Halo 3 OST, 2007)

Moby - God Moving Over The Face of The Waters (Heat Soundtrack, 1995)

Ellie's acoustic cover of A-Ha - Take on Me (The Last Of Us 2 Soundtrack, 2020)

.
Yes!!!! So glad to see Heat in here. The scene with the Moby track are the perfect combination. Fav scene in my fav film. Such a brilliant end to the build up the relationship between De Niro and Pacino’s characters.
I’ll add in Bladerunner (of course….), including 2049 and both new Dunes.
Human Traffic and Kevin & Perry Go Large, for obvious reasons.
Some of the newer cerebral horrors have such great minimal soundtracks too, ‘it follows’ springs immediately to mind.
For games I really like the music in Blsck Mesa (the Half Life reboot). Look up ‘entangled’ from that, beautiful
