TranceFix Radio #13 - Fiesta de Trance - Mixed by Julian Del Agranda

Speak his name. Say it. Softly first, then louder, more raw, shout it, scream it, let the world know about him. JULIAN - "Julian who?" - JULIAN DEL AGRANDA, MY GOOD SIR, because he is back! Back with another absolute banger of a mix - a mix worthy of an old school Oscar because that's exactly what we're getting here; A true old school trip from start to finish.

But, you might be wondering in that beautiful head of yours, haven't we heard all old school tracks before? Haven't we experienced it all before!? HOW ABOUT SOMETHING NEW!? - you might be shouting. But to all of this, I just say; Calm down, count to 10, relax, remove your hands from the keyboard and just look. Look at the tracklist and rejoice, because we and Julian promises you; There are tracks in here you haven't heard before! (Well, alright, we kinda promises, but you get the idea).

Look, I'm tired, it's late here, I really can't keep on doing this. Just, in the good words of Marc Rebillet, "GO FUCKING NUTS" as you move those gorgeous hips of yours across the dancing floor, find a couple of plates and pretend to be scratching (It's okay, we all do that) while you in the distance hear the lovely words "Julian..... Del..... Agrandaaaaaaa"

Oh, and there's a new single as well! Check it out my beloved brethren!

Really interesting mix with some less-known gems which I'm happy to see someone still loves playing.
Deffo playing it in the background while at work on Monday!

Took a listen to half of the mix yesterday. Props for the very personal chosen tracklist. It does feel like carefully chosen remixes and personal faves.

Although the mixing felt ok, I founded it a ittle too rushed/fast-paced overall and the tracks didnt really feel that connected to eachother, more than being from the same time period. Instead of building it gradually you have blocks of 2-5 similar tracks throughtout the mix so it does feel a little disconnected. Also I think shorter mixes of maximum 15-17 tracks are to prefer. Just my thoughts.

Rofl rofl rofl…. That intro text…. 😂😂

Ha you can definitely tell when Nic gets to write the description vs me 😆. Think I may have to give him the job full time after that masterpiece.

Lovely mix btw @Magnevi. Listened on my plane journey yesterday and was just perfect. Haven't had a good classic nostalgic session in a while and loved it. Your original mix of El Sueno is also so good btw. Def prefer it to the Movements version.

Dude that was awesome. You really had a good theme going in the mix that tied everything together that was super nostalgic and fun. Your own tracks fit in perfectly too. Do you have more Julian tracks coming up?

Julian Del Agranda - El Sueño sounds like a slighty more mature Dance Nation - Sunshine with stuttering synths. Dont mean the melody but the elements used are somewhat same. I like it.

Really enjoyed this, got me through a long day at work. Great selection, as Daysleeper said, it feels like a personal mix rather than just a selection of tunes!

Really digging El Sueno and congrats with the Activa mix inclusion. Always good to see the Trancefix folks getting some attention! 🤩

Thanks guys.

I really wanted it to be built around a theme: basically all the flavors I see for the Julian alias: happy, summery, a bit exotic, big synths, clubby. All tracks have an appropriate flavor (this is a personal view of course).

With the track selection I also want to bring music from my favorite producers, and if possible, lesser known track from them. Also not affraid to include names like Safri Duo and T-Spoon, to surprise you with a trancey suitable version.

And then the whole thing is mixed harmonically. I’m pretty satisfied with it.

In the beginning the transitions are quite long to take down the ‘pace’, so not sure if I agree with the sleeper on that one.

Well, I am definitely going to focus on that alias. But I am a slow (hobby) producer. There are some starts though, and perhaps some interesting collaborations. Probably nothing for this year though. But first ‘El Sueño’! 😃

You had me at 1. Solarstone - Seven Cities (Armin van Buuren Remix). Mix is lovely from the start. Only 1 cheesy track I didn't necessarily like, but like your other mix, it's just so much fun to listen to! Discovered a few gems in here I didn't know of before. It's also been a while since I enjoyed this type of trance but this mix brought back the smile on my face. Plus, your tracks fit in perfectly. I could just as easily imagine Armin playing this at Trance Energy or something.

I nearly had tears at the end. Farewell to the Moon (Emotion Dub) is AMAZING. Why have I never heard this before. Thank you for a awesome classic mix @Magnevi

For me, the last track was the highlight. Such a beautiful track for the end of the mix.
