Back in the days, if you wanted to be consider a proper respected DJ there were certain tracks by certain musicians which you could not ever play because those were considered "cheese" and to give Trance music a bad name, that's why most high-profile Trance DJs back in the 2000's, for example, wouldn't play music by DJ Sammy, Ian van Dahl, Sash!, Alice Deejay, Lasgo, Sylver, Milk Inc. and all those Euro-Trance acts unless it was a remix done by actual "credible" DJs/Producers, that's why I can recall Armin playing a Push Remix of Ian van Dahl - I Can't Let You Go and PvD playing a Humate Remix of "The Boys of Summer" by DJ Sammy, but nowadays, in a world in which DJs, for the most part, became clowns they can play all the "really cheesy shit" they claimed to hate so much back in the 2000's, that's why Hardwell and other pretty laughable DJs play some really bad versions of Cascada - Everytime We Touch, they no longer need to look or sound credible, sometimes they don't even have to know how to properly mix, as long as they play the dumbest, stupidest shit for the dumbest stupidest crowd out there they're safe because no one really notices those little details anymore, why do you think the most recent winners of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll are among the most incompetent "high-profile" DJs out there?
