I actually thought 2 and 3 were crap,

I thought so too, then I watched the animatrix and all the Lore, all the little details, all the subtext the whole why and what made sense.

tip, if you've got the time and energy.

step1, Watch the matrix
step2, Watch the animatrix
step3, Watch the matrix 2 and 3 (yes, right after one another)

step4, do not watch the matrix ressurections because its well, crap, and a very obvious cashgrab.

Decided to rewatcht the Lord of The Rings trilogy - I honestly don't think we will ever get a trilogy this epic again, holy FUCK I love these movies. Like, everything about them

If you have to watch hours and hours of additional material for a movie to make sense, it is not a good movie.

Finally got around to watching the Northman, the Robert eggers film recently released.

Some of the visuals and dialogue are really good, but the prelude early on to what happens with the revenge story destroyed the build up for the ending. The nice cameo from bjork was a nice surprise I didn't know about.

I finished my last final this Monday and currently I have way too much time on my hands because of it. So, I decided to get Disney+ so I could watch the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe in order (I have watched most of them but only when they were broadcast on TV, so a long time ago and randomised). Currently at Captain America: The Winter Soldier and there hasn't been one I dislike so far, honestly.

Went to the cinema yesterday to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: cool movie with stunning VFX, as is expected of Marvel nowadays. Though honestly, it wasn't as great as I hoped it to be. Some interesting concepts were used (the plot was pretty good and it was very cool te see the very first inclusion of actual horror elements in the MCU) but still felt like they left some things to be desired. Overall, good but sadly not great. 7/10

do not watch the matrix ressurections

Everyone was so extremely negative, that I watched this expecting the absolute worst of the worst.

Maybe because of that, I actually thought it was kind of fun.

The only thing I really disliked is the French-guy-character that didn't make sense. He was pretty cool in Matrix 2.

But really, I didn’t mind it. I just don’t see it as a real ‘chapter’ within the Matrix Story. It’s a gimmick. Nothing more.
