I'm embarrassed ....
Bailando is a f*cking tune, baby! I make sure we listen to it at least once every PE LessonWait, that's lit. It sounds like the kind of thing that would have been huge in Latin America in the late 90s.
I wonder what was the motivation behind this track. Spanish in electronic dance music then was rare unless you were one of those groups that tried to integrate electronic music with regular Latin American music, ex. Proyecto Uno with merengue and techno/house in the early '90s.
Never mind that Paradisio is Belgian. They must have seen an opportunity to reach an audience few had attempted to reach before.
Latin language in dance wasnt that special. In western-Europe at least. This Bailando track is from 1997.
The same era with tracks like Macarena, Samba de Janeiro, Miranda-Vamos a la Playa, Sash-Equador.
Sounds just like a typical 90’s eurodance hit. A nice track nevertheless.
