Yeah looks fucked up doesn't it? I don't want AI to take over to be honest. Trying to be too perfect can be a sign that you lose your imperfections

This is a reply I received from TGA who are like the Regulatory body this is not only deception but a misleading behaviour by this very team. The fact that most doctors don't tell patients this information even though they know and they don't care but the people who consume really do care if they didn't then the very product wouldn't exist and our society as a whole wouldn't exist. I dislike it when someone says "Who Cares" so you could be taking things that could be affected your overall health.

I am taking them to court about because it affects me and my family and other people too because cows are sacred in our culture but the culture in India is dead anyway no thanks to western influence. Even Pork is sacred in some cultures and I may have found a hornets nest with this issue.

The list of ingredients contained in a medicine is public information and can be found under the ingredients section of the consumer medicines information (CMI) leaflet. This is often included in the packaging with the medicine. In cases where the CMI is not included, you can search the medicine name or AUST R number on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) to find this information.
Many medicines supplied as soft capsules include gelatin as a component of the capsule itself. The source of gelatin varies between different products, although it is commonly derived from bovine or porcine sources.
The exact source of the gelatin contained in a product is not publicly disclosed.
If you do not consume animal based products, it is recommended that you substitute the capsule for an equivalent tablet product, both are commonly available for most oral medicines. A pharmacist will be able to advise on other options available to you.
Kind regards,

Nice of them to tell you that post hoc. lol

i'm surprised by the way.. Are you of the Hindu faith? or do you consider it an exclusive cultural issue (which is at least partly derived from that)

Yes, but mainly a live animal was killed and I have consumed it without being told about and questioning whether it's ethically and morally right? My motives are not based on religion but more cultural and as I mentioned I have consumed something that was killed whether it be a pig or a cow and their bones and skins have been used without me being informed that Gelatin comes from beef products and that these corrupt pharmaceutical and food companies can get away with it without labelled it as beef gelatin or pig gelatin or some other substituted gelatin is stupid. Most migrants and people from non english speaking backgrounds are not even aware of this at all.

I highly doubt that I will make much of a dent considering how I saw the courts overturn a 30 year old law in the US based on religious/conservative and bias beliefs by the supreme court.

I swear being brought up in this country has made me question why do I even bother living in this country? It was a bad idea for to move to Australia because my parents got everything they wanted but I got nothing at all.

How do you substitute antibiotics? Because most of them come in Gel packs I have asked doctors but they don't know either.

If it doens't cost you too much time and energy you can go for it. But it'll probably be a drop on a glowing plate yes.

technical side note: Its easy to attribute religion to all and everything the GOP and the supreme court in that context does, but Roe v Wade as a matter of ruling was not overturned because of "religious/conservative and bias beliefs" it was overturned as an Contitutional (or better yet even an unconstitutional) issue.

but that is literally what always happens. Evangelical christianism runs the US. Watch how quickly religious protection laws are not followed for other religions, like Islam and Judaism.

Roe v Wade being unconstitutional is the kind of t hing you only see in Parler and other alt apps. No one in real life outside of Republican and religious spaces wants to get rid of women's rights

Sure, but thats a seperate thing from wether or not how federal v state power should be distributed in your country

I wouldn't know (i'm completely of social media). Nor is that relevant/ an argument. Just because someone sais it on Parler doesn't automatically make it untrue.

Non of the Courts Reasoning for overthrowing Roe v wade where based on religious grounds. Now you're ofcourse free to assume that they secretly and sneakily where, thats fine. but thats a matter of opinion, not a matter of fact.

And like mentioned earlier. Even late Justice Ginsburg, a Champion of the more progressive political side of your country wasn't a fan of Roe v wade for the aforementioned (un) constitution reasons, (and by the way neither was"Jane Roe" / Mc Corvey, post hoc, but that aside), believing it to be the wrong (type) case to settle the abortion issue

@dmgtz96

if i may propose an more viable alternative to "its religion" for an (uncharitable) interpretation of the ruling (which you know..fine):

You could make the case that the courts ruling is an act of (moral) Cowardice. Basically they're washing their hands clean of the whole prolife/prochoice and by extend Women's Rights debate.

Quote from Kavanaugh: "The Court’s decision today does not outlaw abortion throughout the United States, just as the court doesn’t have the authority to say that abortion is a constitutional right, it also doesn’t have the power to declare a constitutional prohibition of abortion.”

They're also, in reference to your earlier question and on the brightside, washing their hands clean from other related legal questions, including whether states can bar their residents from traveling to another state to obtain an abortion.

(in their view: No, under the constitutional right to interstate travel.)

My parents put our dog to sleep today. Feel quite bummed out, of course, but with extremely mixed feelings.

Both sad and relieved I wasn't there. I would've loved to keep him company during his final hours, to make him feel safe, but I think seeing life leave him through his eyes would've scarred me for life.

Both sad and thankful. This year was filled with the worst and the best. The sudden, unexpected death of my uncle, and facing my dog's as well, but on the other hand the best times of my life, like the vacation, finding the best in me through work... Just glad I have the good to hold on to.

I know for a fact that I will never ever work under Meta/Facebook (banned conversations with respect to the Supreme Court)

What do you mean sorry? That Meta banned conversations on the topic? For its employees or its users?

For its employees. Business insider article about it

Meta has warned employees not to discuss the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on its internal system and deleting messages that do so, The New York Times reported.

The memo, seen by The Times, also said Meta had previously allowed open discussion of abortion but later decided it created "significant disruptions in the workplace given unique legal complexities and the number of people affected by the issue."

I'm conflicted because Meta also declared that they would reimburse healthcare (read: abortions) performed out of state

However, Meta said it would reimburse travel expenses "to the extent permitted by law" for employees who needed "to access out-of-state health care and reproductive services," The Times reported.

On Friday June 24th productivity across corporate America probably went down due to the Supreme Court's decision. I think everyone or almost everyone was too zoned out and upset/overjoyed to get any work done. Last week was not great either.

Thanks @dmgtz96. I work for Meta, but this was news for me. I checked my emails just now and there was no warning or instructions sent telling us not to talk about it. In fact, multiple managers last week brought up the news and offered small words of acknowledgement and support for those who needed it.

However the article you shared is correct, there are policies at Meta that will and have lead to censorship. It's actually a very complex and interesting situation, and far more nuanced than clickbait articles like this imply. For example do we need or want our internal workchat tools to be places for large political discussion? In a company of 10,000+ people, with differing opinions and perspectives, this has the potential to degrade the social aspects of work. Personally I probably think people should be able to discuss what they want, but I need to think about that more. In fact there is extremely open, high quality, respectful and insightful debate taking place in giant internal posts about this topic, which leads me to believe we as employees can handle free discourse well.

But there are other considerations too. What happens if Meta allows for those perspectives that think banning abortions is a good one? There are jurisdictions that would love nothing more than to characterize anti-choice or pro-choice posts and advocacy as creating a hostile work environment, or extend those beliefs onto the company itself. Meta is an ideal target. Past leaks have already cherry picked internal employee posts to paint sensationalised and soap opera narratives for clickbait bullshit and it would happen again, no question. There are further legal implications too.

The company I work for simply solved it by having/allowing 2 platforms. as in: the work chat is for work related business only, so things like: "i'm late because 10min traffic etc. " "project Y has been featured in this magazine, please like" etc.

And then there's basically the "offtopic stuff" chat, (which the company "officially" distances itself from), Wherein which you can post cats or political stuff or what have you.

? I actually didn't know it forbade those..
It shouldn't, because then it opens up lawsuits from pro-life/anti-abortion groups. Lawyers would be all over that. If you ban abortion discussions, you have to ban everything, whether that is pro- or anti- perspective.

This is where it gets tricky. I'm sure Meta has a similar setup, or at least a setup where each team has their own official chat and an off-topic casual chat (depending on the manager). It sounds like Meta banned every discussion about abortion everywhere.

From what I got briefly from the article, (but correct me if i'm wrong as its behind an anti-addblock/ paywal) it only relates to the internal messaging system. So (say...) any whatsapp group that doesn't register you as an employee but a private user should be fine no?

Yeah, discussion would be banned on the company Slack/Teams chat. Banning unaffiliated Whatsapp chats would be impossible.

to be honest, but thats me, I'd prefer it that way really. using company software/hardware (especially mega corporations) for contentious discussions is asking for trouble Imo.

for one, you don't know who'll be on the board in 5 years when you think you've got a nice stable job and seen as its company owned stuff they'll probably own a record it.

I am home for the first time in three years and feels bitter sweet. Huge nostalgia and knowing things will never be the same. Anyways taking the week off djing/producing/music in general apart from just listening some purely for enjoyment.

Man, things in Bulgaria have went downhill very quick around Covid. Prices are basically the same as the UK...
