Hardly any ever since I had the episode back in 2019. I do some light yoga here and there and number of meditation exercises and do some walks to nature parks if I can go. Ever 2 weeks I go out to connect with nature if the weather permits. Although, it might become less frequent now that Winter is coming. I do some light weights but I need to check with the doctors in 4 weeks if it's ok for me to do cardio and weights again.

I had to be monitored for an entire night and sleep on the chair because they didn't have enough beds. It was pretty awful experience. I had to take a number of codeine and ibuprofen tablets to ease the pain and they injected some kind of saline as well. I was also given colchicine which I have to take over 6 weeks. They told me that it was a reoccurrence of Pericarditis and Myocarditis episode for the first time for the Myocarditis.

I had also 2 ECG tests, Covid Test, Xray, Ultrasound, 2 blood tests and a number of blood pressure and blood test
That is so much going on mate. So much. I very much wish you well and hopefully soon there are indications that things are improving. All the best chum.

What I hate the most in the whole world: So it's dry in 99,9% of the country. On the rain app my region is dry too, after some local shower. So I get on my bike heading for work (30 min of cycling). So after 5 min... fucking rain. Clothes wet. I hide under a bridge. Few minutes later: dry again. Rain app? Says it stays dry. So with a fucking wet outfit already, I decide to still go for the office. Eventhough I have zero appointments that required me to be there. Just going there because it's "nice for the collegues", or whatever. But of course: fucking rain again after a minute! How?!! I'm not going to sit there with a soaked outfit all day. So I turned around, work-from-home-day. There's no god. Yeah yeah I'm a drama queen. 😤😣😑

there you go^ thats 4 (!) years of not being physically fit having a job that involves mostly sitting. Its a good thing that you went for a walk every now and then and do some incidental yoga at least (y),

But I recommend that ,after you're dismissed from the hospital ofcourse, you pick up some form of daily cardio-excersize, even if its just 30 minutes on a cheapo-treadmill at home. You don't want to keep the non-moving up for another 5 years m8 or you might end up in the hospital with a proper cardiac arrest :(

I am in the process of getting a treadmill. I have been helping my dad setup a 5 greenhouse houses where we are growing, mangoes, strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, potatoes, spinach, spearmint, basil, coconut.

I also received a reply from DJ Prisco as well.

The company held a big meeting today. There are about 15 people which are going to be fired until the end of the month. Of course, they didn't mention any names, so it was a bit obscure. Guess I'll just have to sit and wait.

Yeah already writing to companies on LinkedIn, gonna pick it up next week as well. Unfortunately my company isn't the only one up its neck in shit, so the job market (at least for my specialty) is not looking promising.

Fuck I asked Bing to write me a poem and this is what it came up with. I am quite blown away.

I have been contacted by an app ive not heard of but looks good about music . Called HotDrop. Apparently they listened to my ambient track Our Home (Earth) my recent and 2nd release (used on a podcast and free bandcamp album so not official release per say)

Although I doubt they actually listened and some bot computer thing found certain words of the sound-cloud description for it, I wander if the app looks good for indie artists and unknown producers or also slightly known producers too.

It works by artists recording 30 seconds of a track and uploading it. Viewers / listeners then swipe left for no right for yes( they like it) - not sure what occurs after that but some kind of algorithm or whatever computer fing adds stuff up and you get on a list which somehow produces a fan base. I actually want to try it, and surprisingly my fiancé wants to help me with it. I am delighted about this as previously wrongly suspected my music was a ‘Big’ issue in our relationship as i sometimes get obsessed with writing it or ‘talking’ about it.

Anyone used HotDrop?

Also, feel free to get in touch if you would like to help me with setting up my MIDI hardware and synths on Studio one DAW. It’s preventing me use my newer equipment. Gagi, I didn’t want to do a big thread on this aspect yet but may if i cant sort it before paying obedia for help.

Cheers!

Rough situation to be in. There's no shame in switching specialties (machine learning -> standard web dev/software engineering?) as long as you can still pay the bills. Just make sure you're working on a profitable product that can keep the lights on

Definitely. I'm in eCommerce, and the tech stack is pretty limited to eCommerce. I definitely need to work on the tech stack that translates better to other specialties.

By the looks of it (and some lists I got I shouldn't have), I seem to be safe for now. That should buy me a couple of more months in my estimation, though let's hope there aren't any salary cuts as it's pretty tough as-is.

Sorted (mostly) My £700 wavetable synthesizer. ASM Hydrasynth is now in mostly full operation. Triggering it finally through the keys on my basstation 2. I can record all audio but not MIDI (presently). But an amazing thing about doing it this way, is i can simultaneously play multiple sounds at the same time whereas i think if MIDI data ‘was’ set up and recorded it would all have to go through just 1 channel as its mono - timbral. Thus everything midi would be just 1 selected channel.

i have got some lovely sounds out of it. Loving it.

Edit: I put a thread up in music production/mixing with a track ive started featuring the sounds of both hardware synths. Wetlands Trance of Thailand.

random thought...

in a different life, and if I had known more about cars, this is what I would have gotten: a blacked-out Hyundai Elantra N. It was released when I had just saved up for a car downpayment, but I didn't have plans to buy a car until much later. Getting it would have been super interesting, since I'd have needed to take the bus up to Houston and then drive back 6 hours to my hometown. It's also from a South Korean manufacturer, so it would have been my top pick instead of Japan/USA.

I survived yet another week without getting fired. It's getting tougher and tougher each day.

On the other hand, trying my hand in a marathon in mountainous terrain. I'm gonna try to go for 33km trail tomorrow, which will definitely be a struggle for me as I got out of shape during the past month or so. I am not planning on running though, just hiking pace. Also could not convince others to go with me, so I'll have to hike for 7-8 hours alone, which will be a nice test of mental toughness and very useful for conditioning before my hiking trip in a week.

Thought about applying to these guys to try sound design. They make great fx plugins (i own 3) and are bringing out their first synth this month. They’re looking for anyone in any position within the company but mainly to be used for the business side of things of their setup . @Gagi . Don’t know if this appeals should your job be compromised . They make awesome stuff. BABY Audio - Jobs

On another note. I have reached a milestone. I have completed my first full week at work for 5 months since being ill. Happy but knackkered!
