Good point I didn't take that into account.

In other news I am taking on another industry this time it's the abattoir industry. I don't want to imagine the PTSD that people have to suffer from the trauma of killing a live animal. I'd imagine it would be similar to seeing human beings being slaughtered. Sorry for those who might disagree I am a vegetarian and I am so glad that I am a vegetarian because I don't want to imagine the type of killing the workers have to endure. Which is why I am also taking on the Pharmaceutical and fertiliser industries as well. I didn't know that they put gelatine in most antibiotics.

Finally moved to a more permanent place (year-long lease) about 25 minutes away from my job instead of 55. Still need to unpack everything and rebuild my IKEA furniture, but at least it feels good to have everything back.

I actually had to hire help from movers to get everything out of the storage unit and into my apartment. They were professional. My friend and I couldn't have done the same work that they did in just an hour. It would have taken us all day, or we would gave given up trying to get my couch into my apartment haha

Also, this is the last Uhaul truck I'll drive in a while I've driven 2 20ft Uhaul trucks and 2 9 ft Uhaul cargo vans to move around my stuff from my previous city to my temporary place and then to my new more permanent place

What awaits me is a pretty decent holiday. I'm going with my family to a wooden cabin overlooking a gorgeous meander for 4 nights. After that, we'll spend 3 nights in a house on a hill at 1600m. The temperature plummets to 5 degrees Celsius there at night these days - quite a refreshment.

We'll be visiting some fairly old and important churches and monasteries in Serbian history (ranging from ~4th-5th to 13th-14th century). Apart from that, I'll also be looking to hike as much as possible.

I will hopefully even climb the 2nd highest peak of Central Serbia at 2154m if I can find someone to do it with. Going alone with not much civilization into an unknown terrain...not sure it's a smart idea.

I'll definitely be sharing pics and impressions later in the Travelling thread.

Our wedding was incredible. We came back a day pr two before the fires. We are safe but its a strange feeling knowing if we had been there a few days longer these horrible things would have directly effected us.

I'm off to Algarve in Southern Portugal next month with some friends as part of my 40th celebrations and they've just been hit with forest fires as well - looks like they've managed to get it under control for now without too much damage to property thankfully, but it's crazy how half of Europe seems to be on fire at the moment

By the way, this is probably the most amazing footage I have seen in terms of point of view. It feels like I am there everytime I watch it I seem to be jumping out of chair that I am actually there.

Yeah man, it’s a strange thing. I do hope you have a great time. Nice thing to do for your 40th dude!. I have been to Algarve. Really enjoyed the cave journey we went on, on a boat. Highly recommended if there’s one near you. Loads of bats in the caves, it’s incredible. Funnily enough, my nickname with a chum in an old job at the time was Batman, & his was Robin. I took a video and pictures in the cave declaring, on Facebook. “I have arrived at my spiritual home”

Incidentally, if you see the special bridge where you can leave messages. ( its by one of the beaches) , You might still see a message me and Deb left. I think it might be called the Lovers bridge or bridge of life or something. I think you put a message on with a ribbon. ( very small bridge made of wood) Although it was about 4 years ago so our message might be tricky to find. You might like to write one though. 🫶
