Progressive uplifting trance makes me think of the early to mid 2000s melodic songs from black hole recordings and artists like fictivision, phynn, etc.So Spotify Wrapped arrived. Based on my 55k minutes of listening the most listened genres were pretty much what to be expected. Progressive trance, progressive house, trance... I can even give a pass to electronica as a umbrella term for tracks from certain era.
But the hell is "progressive uplifting trance" which was 5th in my genre list?

I can see it in my industry too (tech in ecommerce) - a lot of companies were investing ambitiously into (fast) expansion. Right after that, there was a decrease in market activity and the expansion has stopped, so they are cutting costs. I am in a similar boat.Just had an interview with a prospective client for a new project at work. I don't know how I feel about this - having a project will increase my job security, but at the same time the project sounds absolutely shit. It's not something I really want to do. At some point I want to move away from eCommerce, and especially from the technology stack I'm using.
