as for this exact record, if not the cheeky title I guess it would've been criticized more and considered a waste of Laurent's talent more openly

It's blatantly going for a kind of stadium/big gig type of sound. So I'm pretty certain no matter which title has been given, it would, is receiving more attention than anything he made in a longer while, including the more ambitious stuff. That attention overweighting criticism big time, cause strict classic fans are a minority.

It's the kind of style that's guaranteed to be successful in partly more mainstream orientated audience. It's not designed for ultra orthodox Trance fans.

Myself preferring the classic and more ambitious sound, I still have no reason criticising it, since it actually has hit the intention/target very well.

As long as I know it's a one off,
not him going Tiësto, I'm ok with it.
It is far, far away from those
squeaky EDM tunes.

If he'd put out tracks like this every week,
or made the aforementioned EDM tunes,
well that would deffo get a different reaction from me.

Even without the title it's so obvious, what sound he's gone for. Thanx God it is what it is.
Could've been one of those squeaky bum tunes and we would be left feeling betrayed

I'm fine with what it is and what he has accomplished with it.

Certainly not pushing his talent, but this man could probably nail any style, if he wanted to.
That's a skill too.
