Trancefix Recordings

Very happy to announce the new Trancefix label: Trancefix Recordings

We wanted to do this for three reasons. The first is that it will be fun and hopefully enjoyable and musically rewarding. Secondly, really good tracks were being shared in our forum these past 1+ years and some of them had a great classic feel. Would be nice to see those recognised, and in proper fashion, with sexy artwork, some promo and some love. The fact that it comes from the community members on TF makes it all the more satisfying.

The third reason is that we desperately need more underground labels in Trance. Do we have less than a handful? It's not good, and rather than just complain for another decade we can attempt to try and be a small part of the solution.

We’re also wondering how much classic Trance and Prog is being made right now, and if more could be uncovered or cultivated, even in a small way. There doesn’t seem to be an obvious home for true classic sounds today, and I struggle to think of an established label that offers that natural fit. Even Enigma State himself has mentioned how he felt that In My Fantasy and Enigmatic would have likely sat in some labels' inbox never to see the light of day (hence the self release). Well, we’ll happily take all the classic gold we can get our hands on! In fact, we’ll actively look for and encourage it.

TFR label will likely be non (or loss of) profit. We will aim to give above average percentages to artists and the tracks we sign, and anything extra will go back into the forum/site. It's clear that producers today don't get paid enough (nothing) for their creative output and we believe that problem is directly related to scene health, so that’s an attempt to acknowledge that.

You’ll find the label first and primarily on Bandcamp, and then likely Spotify/Apple music and other providers too. Release schedule and output will likely be low. We’ll be up for releasing:
  • Classic Trance Styles
  • Classic Prog
  • Modern Trance/Prog
  • Ambient & Downtempo Trance
  • Techno-House-Prog Crossovers
  • Psychedelic
But above all:
  • Good music

Our first release will be out on FRIDAY. It will be the New World EP from Julian Del Agranda. We know you love the classic sounds on this one and it seemed like a fitting first release to get us going. We also have an album from Avalon 62 incoming, will drop a teaser soon, it’s fucking lovely! To wrap up…any support from you guys on this first release would be so massively appreciated and definitely give us a big boost of morale and drive going forward. Thanks!

Very happy to present this to you, folks. We've been discussing this internally for yonks! Reviving this forum, investing our time, effort and money, trying to bring new features and ideas hasn't been easy, especially with us having day jobs and private lives, but ultimately we wanted to invest in and promote what we think we as a forum, and as a community (wish to) stand for.

It will take some time to gain a decent reach, so every little bit of support would really help.

And trust me when I say this: We ain't stopping here.

To tease, the first release will feature “The New World”, and also a slight different alternative edit of that song.

On the digital B-Side there will also be the follow up that was posted on the forum before called “Sentimientos”.

That's pretty cool. Time to look at some of the stuff I have... I'm so unsure about my alias though :/
I have the account mind you, but it's probably so hard to pronounce and remember.

Not so certain classic trance exists anymore, bar one or two tracks a year. If you find it I will be impressed. Will be cool to see if you can.

Correct, there feels like less than 5. JOOF, Forescape, Landscapes and then SoundCloud randoms. Even JOOF has very little Trance.

Good attitude to have anyway, to try and work towards change, rather than complain.

If you check out the "oldschool producers" thread over in Music, you'll see that there are a whole lot more! Some names include space lab, Echocentric, GODDEZZ, UTE, Space Trax, and Haws (though they are certainly a different style of trance than say JOOF and Forescape, and not exclusively trance either).
