Not quite ambient, not quite psybient, definitely lower tempo. I'll just add this here.
The version above is from his 1999 album Deep Space. This track was also remastered and released as part of his 2014 album Solar Echoes, but I think the original '99 version is just better.

I enjoy Chillhop, Philanthrope is my fave artist, I found the live streams a few years ago. They are very relaxing.
Bonus mention to Sleepy Fish, their first 3 albums are so good and kind of link together.

i like trip-hop a lot. i think this is a good track the original exists in two forms, both are great.
official video, skips the ~40 second long intro and the outro is shorter

i always perceived this kind of trip-hop as mostly exercised by central european dj groups, pressure drop however is from uk (also a dj group) which makes it rare in my opinion.
there are also a few remixes of this track which takes it to different genres.
this was made by roni size and was released along the single.
this was made by zed bias and was released in the 2023 re-release of the original track.
