I honestly don’t know why you are offended.
A bunch of heterosexual white people talk about stuff. That’s very good. Their perspective might not be as “woke” as you want. But they are in development.
The world will not change if you point fingers and look down on people. It will change if you let them be and let them have their own path.
My dad had no clue about homosexuality. He probably only ever saw semi naked men in leather underwear on a pride boat, on tv. The result was: he did not like me saying I was gay. He litteraly said to a 15 year old me: there will never be a “boyfriend” in this house till you are at least 20.
When I gone to tennis training and fixing my hair before leaving, he said: why are you doing that, there are no girls there.
And similar stuff… you can imagine that having impact etc.
but is he a bad human? Or is he simply the result of a series of heterosexual-world-development? He needed his own time and space to learn that it is OK.
Look at that topic the same way. Some forum users may think LGBT ‘community’ (as if we play board games every Monday) push too hard. Too much.
“white straight will be canceled!!”. that sort of comments.
obviously, they are wrong. You know it, I know it. Pride flag and attention really is needed and great for many LGBT people. Examples in sports are MUCH needed as role models for new generations.
“We” (lgbtq+) live in a world where we are almost never our true self. But we always are aware of surroundings. This results in very small alterations of our behavior. Not holding hands with a lover is an obvious example. No public affection, no flirting, perhaps you even walk different, etc. You act slightly more “straight” as it is more safe.
Its so “build in” our behavior that its even unconsciously. We are not 100% ourselves, and do that automatically. It’s extremely sad if you think about it.
So sure, the attention for LGBTQ is needed. I’m all aboard. But don’t forget people need their own path with this.
the forum members who might have “too simple” perspectives for you…. Let them be. They read stories from other members, and who knows that is all part of their development.
they are not bad people per se, nor do they hate LGBT, they just wonder about certain aspects. Its very good that they talk about it.
if we silent people, you stop their personal development.
You did not expect a serious reply perhaps. Hope it made sense in my crappy English vocabulary
