Someone posted that the stems were available for a few classic Breeder tracks. The remixes below were the voted best of the results people came up with. Hard to choose a favorite, they are definitely unique and have their own vibe. If I had to pick one, it would probably be the remix of The Chain, though the other two are lovely as well.

Breeeder - The Chain (Zstimer & Wru Remix)

Breeder - Tyrantanic (Freedo Mosho & Maze 28 Remix)

Breeder - Twilo Thunder (Lee Jordan's Twisted 909 Remix)

Label Promo:

Rowan Blades and Simon Noble's late 90's Breeder bombs Tyrantanic, Twilo Thunder and The Chain, recently underwent hundreds of quality remixes via a public vote /online competition. After much participation / deliberation, The People's Progressive Committee (INTNL) spoke.

We're not hugely surprised that two of the victorious production outfits hailed from South America. Over the last 25 years, the region's established itself as an epicentre of progressive house's enduring global reach, helped along the way no doubt by charismatic ever present Hernan Cattaneo. And the big man himself has already been playing Argentinian duo Freedo Mosho and Maze 28 remix of Tyrantanic, with it's moody build, explosive breakdown and big ass kick in, all enhanced by understatedly high production. A worthy winner.

Mexico City DJ / Production duo (Jonas) Zstimer & (Chanock) Wru are long established players in that exuberant City, and their widescreen remix of The Chain feels custom built for lazer driven night life : a rolling, funk inflected groove, topped off by lazer driven synths that feel like they'd work in an Italo set as well as any progressive one.

Rounding things off, Stoke on Trent / UK veteran Lee Jordan goes off down a different path, adding stepping breaks to 'Twilo Thunder' and a welcome alternative to the 4/4 assault.

As standalone tracks, they're pretty enjoyable. As remixes of those three tracks in particular, solidly meh. I'll stick to the originals.

100%. I'm always on the hunt for 2024 tracks with a bit more of a classic vibe, for new sets, EOY, etc. Hard to compare to these monster classics though, no doubt.

I know this is more of an apples to oranges comparison, but the Quietman remix of Cactus (from 2017) is more the route I expected these to go down. Imo an all-round respectful update to a massive Platipus release.

These are missing something, and it annoys me that I can't quite put my finger on what that is.

they sound way too digital, analogue makes progressive and house alot more sexier... 3.5/10 for the full pack
I felt that especially on the third track. Whatever was used to build the break beat was especially sterile/weaksauce. Though I think I enjoyed the release standalone a bit more than 3.5 :)

Look they are not bad tracks. If you never heard of Breeder you might think this is some decent original prog. But cmon... A big part of reason Twilo and Tyrantanic are iconic monsters is because the sound is RAW AS FUCK. Breeder was one of the grittiest and thundering producers to grace prog... these sound wise are so far off that it's lost all the identity. Undergound prog is never meant to be this squeaky clean. How is it so hard for these producers to understand the principles of what made prog so unbelievable back in 2000.
