They're too busy pissed off that they're getting called "weird." This is how you tear down fascism - by mocking it. Their whole shtick has been conformity and being traditional, which is why the "weird" label is working so well.
I actually think its an uptick to be honest.

I mean they want from Fascist! and Dictator and Herald of the End of the world!

to:

"well... they're just wierd"

😄 like: its the type of kind insult you would give to your elderly uncle who still listens to elvis

Oh, Trump is welcome to use race politics. No one is saying he shouldn't. And, no one on the left would take his claims seriously.
His interview at the black journalists conference was *terrible*, probably one of the worst moments of his campaign. He massively failed to convince black voters that they should vote for him.
don't be so sure: its a risky gamble I will give you that but what it did was sow doubt about kamala harris's legitimacy. We'll have to see if this has any impact on the since 2020 rising numbers of male black voters. of which there is no data available post this interview yet.

Edit:

also: the fact thát he actually showed up, (and kamala/ Biden just ignored the invitation) might play in his favor.

But we'll c.

I don't think this has any impact on the election result anyway: like i said: charisma to and from (which is what both Harris and Trump are focussing on) are only 2 out of 13 relevant keys.

If you don't see the embarrassing and hypocritical nature of this game they play then I don't know what else to say
I don't think you understand what hypocrisy or wielding a dual standard means and/or are misusing the term.

Hypocrisy is a feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not.

So again: If trump when out there and claim he had 1440% black ancestry and all of a sudden spoke "street" <- that would be hypocrisy. Saying Kamala Harris is a race-kameleon isn't hypocritical. You can call it nasty or embarrasing if you like, but its not hypocrisy.

Just watched that talk he did with the Black Journalists.

Holy shit, what a train wreck :ROFLMAO:
Yeah,

though it did make me think.. over the last week all the attention has been on Harris and the “honeymoon” period of her up and coming candidacy.

the attention, negative/mixed/positive, as it might be, is now back on Trump.

Yeah, I think there are a lot of people who are getting a bit carried away with her performance in the opinion polls atm.
There was always going to be that 'new candidate bounce', especially after how much doom and gloom there was around Biden.

With Trump, as bad as that talk was, I don't think it matters to his support base. He's so polarising that, people who already support him, probably wont care about that talk. Maybe he'll lose some African American support, but not enough to make a dent.

How Harris moves on from here will be critical for her campaign.
She needs to avoid being dragged into a battle of insults with Trump, as I think that suits him. He is an elite tier troll when he wants to be and I don't think she is ruthless enough to beat him at his own game in that respect.

Still think the election will be very close.

I'll be very surprised if his appearance at the conference was beneficial at all. It almost feels like he was set up. Do keep on mind that Black Americans voted overwhelmingly Democrat in the previous elections (both men and women), and they can see right through the lies of a conman. The questions that the black journalist asked Trump at the beginning of the interview are more or less how the entire Black community views Trump.

That discussion aside... I think Trump is losing charisma. He's looking more and more like a frail old man set in the ways of the past, rather than an invigorating exciting candidate.

Fascist/dictator don't work, because people (especially the right wing) can dismiss them fairly easily.
"Weird" works because it's hard to argue against. Even a right winger can more or less agree that Trump is really weird.

MAGA trumpers are basically lost at this point. Nothing is going to change their mind and somehow make them switch to Harris. The point of Harris is to invigorate democrats who don't usually vote, especially in swing states

Even that won’t matter, also @dmgtz96 ^ again: this only plays on her charisma. Which is only 1 of 13 keys

Unless there is massive social unrest in the US ala blm,
Unless the polls are lying and Kennedy is more popular among independents,
Unless there is a democrat candidate more suitable then Harris being put forth and/or there is internal party struggle/challenge,

Harris will win, even if she does nothing at all from this point on.

I have to admit, the white dudes for Harris call gave us some hilarious reactions from the right:

That, and even that one right wing host who claimed that, when guys votes for women, those guys also transition into women

A literal riot kicking off about a mile from where I live.

The amount of hatred and misinformation flying around recently has caused this. Social media is a cancer on our society :(

"We're just concerned citizens, peacefully protesting immigration"
Is the line they've been bleating across the net. They've just set fire to a community hub that hosts a library & employment advice service. I can see the smoke from where I live 🙁

Also, I can already see myself being extremely annoying on election day, with hourly updates for vote counts
