Does anyone have an 'obscure' number 1 Trance track of all time?

My all-time favourite is never really set in stone. But away from classic tracks made by the likes of VDM, Ferry Corsten and Andreas Schmidt, I more often than not will choose "Command Me" by Iridium. It was a 1998 (or possibly 1999) remake of the Gladiator theme tune and was the dance music highlight of my teenage years.

I liked the later-released Darren Tate version from his Horizons album, but I always end back to Command Me, especially when going on a nostalgia trip.

It's on a mix of mine below, coming in at roughly 2:45:30

When I first got into trance, Out of the Blue was also my favourite for a while. Now half of my top 10 consists of tracks from 93-95, only one from the 2000s, and Out of the Blue is not in it (although I still love it very much).

But I still wouldn't call neither of my picks obscure. I think trance tracks that have less than 10k views on YouTube can be considered obscure, but all from my top 10 have way more views.

But I can name tunes that are really good but are largely unknown (so have less than 10k views). For example: Microcosmos - Cosmic Trax (1994) and Solitaire - Chasing Clouds (Cosmic Baby's Free Gliding Mix) (1993).

I think no one ever would expect this track to be my nr. 1 on the obscurity list. I even wonder if anyone remembers it.

The album this one is on had an almost permanent residence in my cd player and I still think it's one of the best tracks to have playing on a warm summer's day, enjoying the sun and a nice cold pint of beer.

My random top 1. Not exactly obscure, but I think many people find it unremarkable :D As a child, I’d go fishing nearly every day of summer break. I’d get up before sunrise, ride my bike to the river, and I always put this song on as soon as the first rays of sunlight appeared. Even now, I get chills whenever I hear it.)

Spiral Story - Spiral Story (Mind's Eye feat Emphased Reality Remix)

Not my all-time favorite (that would be Universal Nation), but easily in the top 10.

And quite obscure I would say, although Tiesto did play it several times.

Sergei Shkuroff – Drakkar (Anton Sonin Remix)

Does anyone have a really 'random' number 1 Trance track of all time?

Someone no one would suspect?

Mine is Out Of The Blue so thats a common one hehe.
I wish I could say that, but, at the moment, after so many years of listening to so much great timeless quality Trance Music of any kind, I would say my all-time favourite number one Trance track is Jan Johnston - Flesh (DJ Tiësto Remix), released in 2001, which is frankly quite popular and known, therefore I really do not qualify for this. 😂

I love that one too - way more than his Silence remix, actually!

I think it perfected the formula. So it's very fitting that it came out on Perfecto 😅
