This new remix from Slam Duck is something extraordinary. It's been on repeat for me for months as I was lucky enough to have it on my computer way before the release date. I played it at least 5 times in various mixes as an ID.

What happened to Gai Barone though? For someone that is classically trained his productions are now so mind numbingly boring. He used to produce such wonderful trance now its all percussion. Each to their own I suppose...

Sounds like a typical Gai Barone track, doesn't it? It's nice but have to agree it lacks drive. It's just too slow.

Gai has been going downhill for a while now imo. His tracks all sound the same to me these days. His older work is much better indeed.

I have to agree. Gai at one point was able to put out some truly riveting progressive material. As you mentioned, many of his newer productions are quite boring.
