Nice fun track and all production wise, hits deep but not as deep as the journey did with Mindfield.

Mindfield remains as number 1 hoopoe track for me.

Finally someone makes proper trance again. Trance that has a story, point and goes somewhere. Love the multi layered bass line. The kick is not robotic and actually enhances the track, unlike 99% of releases. The track has room to breathe and is not over compressed garbage. The individual details can be heard and appreciated.

Probably the best release since, and the only one comparable in quality to LJR - The Last Satellite, which was 2 years ago now.

Pretty good quality Prog for this era, nice bassline....but when you take a direct comparison to the late 90's Breeder/Tilt/Quivver/Satoshi Tomiie etc....those tracks have far more character and atmosphere.

I suggest everyone listens to CD1 of Sander Kleinenberg's Nu Breed Global Underground if you like this - some amazing Progressive Trance on that.

Its fine, but if I compare it to Aracari or to a remix for Williiam Byrne, which is excwellent and more melodic....then I have to say this is quite boring and empty.
5/10

Had the chance to listen to the full track now. Love the sound design, the fx, the bassline, the detail, the groove, the smooth transitions/adding/removing layers/instruments. Loving about everything......except one thing - as with mind field it feels like the conclusion/second part of the track is kinda missing and theres a devoid of strong ideas/developement. it still works but it leaves a feeling of unfullfillment for me. Compared to mindfield though this track almost has a completely new sound than your other tracks which heavily rides on the same ideas/structure as hutan. Like its just different versions of that track basically. So its def nice too se you break away from that formula while still sounding like Hoopoe.

Still a strong 7 or 7.5/10

Thanks again for the totw, and it's always interesting to see the different reactions. With this one I broke from my general approach, which is to come up with a strong melody/hook first and work backwards. It happened by accident when I opened an old project from my previous laptop, which was an alternative mix of Hutan (don't ask to hear it, it was crap). The 303 emulator I use (Audiorealism Bassline 2) had reset itself to the lowest octave, and when I muted everything else apart from the kick I found it sounded really cool as a deep/twisty bassline. So I changed it a little and built Aryaduta up around that idea. Hence it doesn't have a big standout melody/theme.

Unintentionally, in the last couple of weeks I've almost finished a remix of it that I might slip into the next mix I put up on Soundcloud.

Good but poor in surprises for an 8 minute trancer. By reading all these positive comments I had to expect something 'more', it's too choreographed, unfortunately. I'm sorry, I am sometimes very hard in criticism because I know so many types of 'trance music' for so many years... so plz don't take it personally. ;)

But I guess the artist is young (?) and it's his/her second release (?) Therefore, yeah it's a really good beginning! Keep up your basics and start to refine them. :3
