Olga Korbut's 1972 Dead Loop trended on reddit last night:

That looks scary as hell. But damn, it's a great example of what the human body can do.

Last year my friends got me to follow Formula 1 and I’ve loved the adrenaline that it gives you, but my all-time favorite sport is Basketball, been following the NBA since I was a kid, die-hard Kobe fan and in 2013 discovered a kid named Steph Curry, been my second GOAT since then 👨🏻‍🍳.

It's a shame that Roger Federer has retired from all Tennis apart from laver cup which will be his last.

Tennis is a bit of a mess right now.

A player like Ruud is now #2 and would even have been number one if he had beaten Alcaraz.

In the past a Del Porto or Wawrinka had to at least win 2 matches against the big 3 (or 4 including Murray).

But now it’s much different. Big names are gone, old, or unvaccinated… and new gen is injured or too unstable: Zverev, Tsitsipas, Kyrgios, thiem (not new but gotta name him). Sinner was good, but also not there yet.

Alcaraz the only new talent who really delivers at this moment

Bit of a morbid way to bump a thread, but I guess this would be the best place to share the news.

Pro Rally Driver and Hoonigan Founder Ken Block Killed in Snowmobile Accident

Pro rally driver and Hoonigan co-founder Ken Block was killed in a snowmobile accident on Monday, Hoonigan and local authorities confirmed.

Block, a prolific figure in the car community, was 55 years old. A co-founder of DC shoes, he moved into the world of rally and quickly made a name for himself, developing the Hoonigan brand and creating the much-loved Gymkhana video series.

Source

Grew up with his Gymkhana videos, and played the shit out of DiRT 3 (which also included an identically-named mode). Shit start to 2023 if ever there was one.

In a week... Super Bowl!

Started rooting for the Eagles in the middle of their 2017, Super-Bowl-winning season. Unfortunately knew absolute dog shit about American football back then and I missed out on a lot of celebrations because I could barely register what was happening on the field, besides a couple of basic rules.

Now it's 2023, and they are in the Super Bowl again. BRING IT.

The quality by the Cheifs and Eagles is so much higher than everyone else. It made for a great game. I was surprised Eagles didn't take it honestly. Watching my team, Commanders, is just painful.
