Djoko really wanted this one, to mentally get a little edge over Alcaraz leading up to the US Open.

Nothing between these two though. At 36yo it’s amazing stuff.

I bet Novak is happy that Alcaraz is here. He needs a rival after Fed, Nadal (basically stopped) and Murray (doing surprisingly well with the fake hip) left the top. He needs it for motivation.

I think he has enough motivation. He probably wants to win the Olympics (since he's only missing that) and at least 2 more slams, to break the all-time record (24 by Margaret Court). I think Alcaraz might be the only one who can threaten these goals.

I used to enjoy cricket but that was before T20 came in and now it's too fast paced for me and it feels like I am watching NBA or an american style of commentary. The commentators are terrible too in Cricket in tests and One Day Internationals. Also, commercialism and India taking over cricket has also ruined Cricket . Focusing mainly on just the Indian Premier League as well and T20 as well. I miss Test cricket how it used to be when it was grit, determination and going through hard work and how test cricket can teach people real life skills. Now, it feels like I am watching a baseball game.

I highly doubt Djkovic will pull in the same crowd numbers after Nadal retires and when Federer and Nadal were going head to head as well. After Federer retired I stopped watching Tennis. I only continued watching tennis after Edberg, Becker, Sampras and Agassi and Safin were playing.

Probably one of the worst times to be a Borussia Dortmund and Philadelphia Eagles fan.

The former have 6 straight games without a win, and the latter 3 straight losses.

I don't see myself following both forms of football for long, to be honest. In the medium term, I'll probably bid a farewell to both teams. Not because of the current results (although that is convenient), but because I can spend my time in smarter ways.

As it's past 5 AM and the Eagles are losing in the playoffs, lots of legends probably retiring after the game, I'm also likely saying goodbye to the Birds and the NFL in general.

Maybe it's cold turkey, but maybe I just won't prioritize it over everything else, staying up late or canceling other appointments because the game is on that evening.

I just don't seem to be caring about sports that much anymore. It's not even fulfilling, seems like it's nothing more than an annoying habit. Almost every week during ⚽ and 🏈 seasons I can lose 2-8 hours watching games that in a year I will forget about completely. I love the sports themselves, just not the games anymore...

I still follow football/soccer but mostly the Dutch league nowadays. Still follow the NBA and NFL as much as possible, but it can understand it can be annoying from time to time and especially when your team doesn't do well.

Yeah - and I'm using it as a sort of a perfect excuse to stop following. That said, even last year, when they went to the Super Bowl, most of the games didn't do anything for me.

We have too many games in regular football, and that's maybe why barely any feels special anymore. And that's just gonna increase as well with the new Champions League and the new FIFA Club World Cup etc. The NFL is much better in that regard, given that there are 17 regular season games + maximum 4 in the playoffs, but I'm still gonna be moving on from it. It's just not worth my time. I barely slept last night and I'm gonna feel like crap the entire day, all because of a stupid game.

Not sure if you've seen this already, but I just did and it was incredible.

@Magnevi there's also a bit of Thiem for you.

Obviously they are just copy-pasting the NfL iS sCrIpTeD marketing from the NFL, but it's very well done I would say.
