Trance Wax's second artist album, generally don't listen to his stuff but this release seems pretty diverse and unique. Really enjoying the trio of Adeya, Artificial Intelligence and Ascend right now and the rest sounds pretty good as well (even though a portion of it isn't trance).

To me, this is quite amateurish level....he tries so hard to reach the oldschool sound, but most of the time its a FAIL. Sometimes he is close, but melodically, this is rather weak. The melodies are not intersting, soundwise its...empty. Best tracks being Ascend, Your Journey, Only You and Love Me Higher. Adeya is decent, but the mastering is strange. Very bad track is So Alone, which is on the level of random bedroom producer and I really dont like the version of Rhythm Of The Night at all.

Man. Its pretty weird feeling for me. You know, listen two different songs, but same uncredited vocal, different names... WTF is this.

It's not bad! The ideas come in quite quickly and gives it quite a commercial radio-pop sound. But there are a good variety of musical ideas here, e.g. breaks, DnB, house, trance. I can certainly appreciate it a lot more than other artists' who are a one-trick pony with their sound, and bang out the same style of track for their entire album.

Two of my favourites: So Alone with its' addictive massive supersaw melody, reminds me of Rank 1's Airwave. The fact the synth sounds slightly off-beat is another interesting detail. Only You is unabashedly in your face high tempo trance, with a sledgehammer kick and cheesy vocal riff. But it just works.

its barely music to me. its a terrible fad. please start making music instead. I truly despise this 90s nostalgia wave with endless mismashing/rescrambling/sampling of unspired beats/sounds into 2-3 min pop techno ravey warehouse trance. Its a terrible gimmick. oh shit I already said that. well, it is!

Wow I also agree, weird. Of all the parts of the 90s, why is this the one they choose to revive? Yikes.

Ascend is TOTW on the latest ASOT. Armin also supported other two tracks in the last episode. Interesting to see him play these....although I would prefer to see him spin Enigma State instead.
Ascend is actually very good track I must admit...maybe I will change my rating slightly
