I dont really watch new movies anymore tbh. Awful actors and terrible plots. sure there are a few exceptions like *Joker' but thats it. 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s movies ftw! Oh and there is always indie movies though. Many gems there!

Opinions? remember that. 😉 Im just not a fan of new movies. way too much cgi and stupid plots. The 60s up to the 90s is were it is for me.
Well, to say there are only bad actors and directors are almost objectively wrong. There are plenty of horrific movies from the 60's, 70's and 80's and honestly; Those bad movies are way, way worse than modern bad movies. Seriously, go watch Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Manos the Hands of Fate and Invasion fo the Neptune Men and you'll almost want to quit watching movies all together.
Of course it's an opinion, just didn't think I had to write that.

Oh i didn't mean all newer movies were bad, i should have stated that, sorry. Joker comes to mind. In-fucking-credible! Oh and It chapter 1. Will watch chapter 2 soon. There are of course a lot of terrific new movies aswell from great directors like Christoper Nolan etc. Batman trilogy ? Amazing! I've heard good things about 'The Lighthouse' starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Patisson. I've seen the lobster scene on youtube and its hilarious 😂

I'm just more of a fan of great (yes there is terrible old movies aswell) classic movies with great plots and terrific actors. 1983, 2001: a space odyssey comes to mind aswell as indie movies. also i remember recommended ' beyond the black rainbow' to you before the old trancefix shut down. Have you seen it yet? if not DO IT! Such a weird, 80s futuristic movie with a great plot and stunning performance. and the music.. wow! 😍 if you like weird, watch it now

It's actually impressive; My all time top 3 movies are all from the 80's:
1. Idi i Smotri (Come and See) from 1985
2. Fanny & Alexander from 1982
3. Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies) from 1988

Dune: Timothée Chalamet On The ‘Awe-Inspiring’ Desert Shoot

“That part of the Wadi Rum is so awe-inspiring, you might as well be getting chased by that cliff in the background,” Chalamet told Empire. “It wasn’t a green-screen or anything. That’s one of the most thrilling parts of the book and the movie. We had the sketches. That was a lesson for me. On a Call Me By Your Name or Beautiful Boy it can be counterintuitive to see the storyboards because then maybe you limit yourself based on a camera angle or whatever. It’s the opposite [here] because, for a sequence with the sandworm chasing you, I could never imagine that.”

OMG1 DUNE! I frickin love that movie! and the music o_O chills! And dont forget the Brian Eno soundtrack
also dont forget to watch 'beyond the black rainbow' 😁
Haha I won't mate, just added it to my watchlist!

Dune is my most anticipated movie right now, but that's almost entirely because of Denis Villeneuve - that dude haven't made a bad movie yet and some of them I would even call masterpieces

Saw No Time To Die (Bond) new trailer. And while my heart rate went up upon seeing both Ana de Armas and Lea Seydoux in one movie, the rest seemed very blockbuster-y, in continuation of the style of the previous movies. Too many explosions, impossible action sequences and whatnot. I'm guessing it will also lack any real substance, with some intertextuality and generic blockbuster music. If you weren't able to guess from my tone, I'm really not optimistic about it.

Should Bond die? On the one hand, I don't think it's gonna get any better than Casino Royale. But then again, some of the movies were just like that even before, almost completely unwatchable. There were only a few that stood out above the rest. The new ones are at least watchable, even if they are passable. Let's just hope the new actor who'll play Bond will freshen up the franchise as Daniel Craig did when he was first cast.
