The new Mission Impossible. I thought it dragged on far too long and it looked like they copied the formula from disney and marvel of adding scenes which were supposed to be humorous but anything but that. Loud obnoxious french horns and baritones and trumbones and drums being used once again sounded so generic. The whole idea of the entity thing was outlandish and over the top and train and drive scenes were far fetched as well.

Under Siege 2 with Steven Seagal had a better train scene compared to Mission Impossible. There was a lot CGI added into the movie which was not needed at all. Also, the train drivers were killed off so there was no one riding and the fact that the train was not slowing down increases it derailing exponentially.

Night Bus (2017)
A local Purge-like survival movie set in conflict zone. Quite refreshing since most local movies in my country are either romance/drama or ghost/horror. Many reviews complained about the bad lighting and unclear dialog, which I agreed. But the idea is interesting and relatable.

Oldboy (2003)
The plot goes like: wtf - ok - WTAF!
No wonder it's on effedupmovies archive list. If you're looking for another unsettling Korean movie, try this one.

To be fair, I admire him for doing his own stunts on his own of trying to get it as realistic as possible. I don't think anyone else does that in hollywood apart from him.

Yeah I thought barbie was overrated i am not sure what other people see in that movie?

Fast X - bad but some of the plotline are far fetched and some of the characters have aged a lot need to be killed off like Michelle Rodriguez character. Jason Mamoa is kinda strange in this one. I don't know the ending looked rushed and unfinished as well. 2/10

Into the Wild (2007)

Been ages since I watched that. Had to do it again.

And what a movie! Just gets better as it goes on. The last few scenes are incredible, with some Godly acting.

Just watched another movie by the same director last night
I Saw The Devil - Korean Cut (2010), it's not twisted like Oldboy but it was brutal on a different level.

Visually, the violent scenes are still more "polite" compared to what Hollywood horror movies have ever shown.
But emotionally, the movie hits even harder. It depicts what revenge truly feels like.

Watched Sicario for who knows what time, and its sequel.

The original is still one of the best films made in the previous 10-15 years. It's just perfect, in every way.

Its sequel just doesn't live up. It's inferior in every single way. It's not a catastrophically bad one, but when the original is that good, this one easily pales in comparison.

Agreed mate. The sequel was really poor to be honest. Didn't like it at all. Original though, incredible.

Perrier's Bounty (2009)

Expected much more - Brendan Gleeson is in it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Not overly convincing, not particularly funny. It's just about passable.
