Ever watched Strike back?
I used to really like that show. The combination of the main characters is really amusing to watch. That said, it's a bit overdramatic, James Bond-type stuff, so best to know what to expect. Season 1 was much more grounded.

Midnight club [Netflix]

Another outting by Mike Flanagan. Some good jumps and clever directional spots but it's doesn't have the crisp story telling compared to Midnight Mass. Obviously sets itself up for a second series.

hmmm not too sold on any of these. The music is a turn off too. Just loud and obnoxious

Defo gonna rewatch Bluestone 42, at least the first season. One of the most hilarious shows ever.

A lot of people, including myself, have complained about how the show seems to lack direction. Where is this story going exactly? It just seems like a bunch of characters all doing their own thing. There is like no central vision for the show really. I'm questioning how accurate this is to the writings of JRR Tolkien.
The original scholar for Lord of the Rings, now this is a person who knows JRR tolkiens work left, right and centre fired him.

Apparently season 2 will be completely reimagined

Willow might be interesting they managed to get back one of the two main characters. I loved the actor that played 'Willow' in Willow as a kid, even just he coming back will keep me interested.

Everyone on board with 'The last of us'?

Was skeptical with any game to TV adaptation but every scene and the shot of the opening sequence was nailed. Looking forward to seeing if it continues the high quality

As long as they don’t adapt the last of us part II I’ll give it a shot

I haven't watched (or played) The Last of Us myself, but it's a bit of a news item in my city because it was filmed here in Calgary, and is the biggest production our growing film industry has yet had. There were numerous sets around town last year, and one day my bus coming home from work was actually diverted around one. I watched the trailer tho, and I can tell you I know exactly where the shot (30 seconds in) of that highway in the mountains is because I've been there.

Tonight me and my girlfriend finished Fringe.
A sci fi series which premiered in 2008.
Written by J J Abrams, Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci. Usually I cant take too many box set episodes in one go but this, although probably the most powerful tv series ive ever watched, we watched the last 4 in one go tonight.

If you’ve never heard of it, it’s definitely up your street, Its right up any trance lovers street.
You will see the universe differently after watching it.

edit: I found a semi decent trailer to Fringe. Absolutely no trailer could do it justice to sum up the enormity of the draw dropping energy & also humour in this series.
I have simply never had so many deep constructive thoughts whilst watching anything else.

I'm a bit confused on the latest episode of "The Last Of Us". Not really sure what I thought about it. I really don't want to think HBO did add this "gay" side story to please a certain group, but I have no other clue what this episode might contributed to the whole story.

It was a warm and well written story, and definitely liked the acting a lot though. Still hoped the series did focus on the main characters instead.

Any thoughts?

Literally did not add anything to the story, the episode was ok but I did not like it for the overall lore especially after they were supposed to follow the source material respectfully. They have already changed pivotal shit but to completely cut out some of the best moments from the game is flat-out nonsense. The great interactions between Ellie and Bill, the atmospheric chase and the part where Joel gets caught in the trap, are all gone. They also completely changed Bill's attitude who was grounded and cynical, instead, we got a soulless misinterpretation negating any subsequent emotions from the game. Hate how these dudes keep lying to people in their faces and getting away with it.
