Last episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds was actually pretty nice. Anyone?

I'm a huge Star Trek fan. I've watched both seasons so far and have enjoyed the series so far. Episode 8 was fantastic! I love when Star Trek goes dark at times. Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks are genuinely good Star Trek shows. Discovery and Picard I absolutely hate and don't consider to be canon.

Haha what did you think of the musical episode? :)

At first before I watched the episode I was unsure what to expect, because it's a musical theme which is not something Star Trek really does at all. Then when i watched the episode I understood why it was referred to as a musical. Overall I enjoyed the episode, not my favorite so far but still a good episode that felt what a Star Trek episode should be, certainly a unique idea for sure. The dancing/singing Klingons with the wands made me LOL.

I'm looking forward to this weeks season finale.

I just finished Silo, its good enough and has me invested in what the second season might hold. Not really that gripping or top tier, but the main lead is a great actor, and sexy too. Funny enough it has the main dude from Shawshank Redemption in it, which is one of my favorite movies, however he is pretty bad in terms of acting.

Der Pass/ Pagan Peak

Really enjoyed this series. The setting in Austria/Germany are visually worth admiring too. Classic who don't it murder mystery/boarder issues with two cop units having to work together. There was a British version of a similar nature called the tunnel, but this in my opinion is better.

On Netflix I saw the 2nd season of the Ottomon history. 1st season showed the spectacular battle at Constantinople and this season shows the campaign against Vlad Dracula of Romania. It’s just an amazing series, with the blend of dramatized story with real historian interviews and commentary. The story is so fascinating and very sad at the same time with all the tens of thousands of people killed. It is a very good show.

Wasn't aware you were from Turkey. Literally yesterday I was just reading up on this period of time and the Ottoman conquest of the Balkans.

Is it available with English subtitles?

It's this one, right?

This is the show my friend!!! The whole show is in English, but nicely with Arabic and East European actors. It is a fun imagining of history that makes it enjoyable for the average night watching TV. I learned a lot and it makes history entertaining, with acceptable trade offs for the drama.

Finished with Season 4 of House of Cards. Wanted to watch it again. Still good, but like with most things, I think I like the first season more than the others. Frank really gets more deranged than calculated as the series goes on and I'm not sure I like that. But I do quite enjoy Petrov as a character.

Rewatching Futurama, I can see how similar it was to the old style of the simpsons

Also a teaser of the Frasier revival series

I can't get into lower decks it's too fast paced. It's like I am watching a reanimation of morty and rick

This is going to piss off a number of people. But man, The breaking bad is depressing. It's like watching a pile of dystopian soap opera where it gives me a headache watching the terrible scenery of the desert lands of the hicktown and redneck towns of America. The acting maybe good but it's "Too realistic" call me sensitive but I hate hearing guys scream and even at my lowest the gun shots and the screams sound too realistic for me throughout the entire series and sadly it has meth labs which is becoming a big problem here and around the world and they are just promoting it to kids these days. I don't know how people can watch that crap. - negative graham number / 10 for me for Breaking Bad.

Are you sensitive to violence in movies/series? I respect your opinion, but I think Breaking Bad is one of the best series I've watched.

Yes, especially with the current way film/tv shows are being shot these days compared to yesterday years where it was a bit more silent and dampened with the explosion. Nowadays it feels too traumatic for me to see because it feels like I am actually physically there. Especially with gunshots and what not. Seriously, I am amazed no one else has complained how deeply traumatic the scenes in most films and tv shows have become? I understand they doing it for suspense and to evoke an emotion but not to this extent.

Compared to say something from the 80's and 90's

Something being traumatic is deeply subjective, don't you think?

For me, I think only Band of Brothers had an effect on me, in their Bastogne episode. I felt like I was there, the artillery barrage, in the dark, was scary as fuck.

Up to a point but there are some scenes which are really traumatic that no one dispute like The IT or exorcist. or the Shinning. I will never watch those movies.

It's a brilliant series. Kinda wish they had the rights to Clarices characters from lambs ( ie introduce her in some form ) but I hear they've had issues over the years.

Frasier is back. Nice ! Kinda wonder where they will go with it. Worried they may tarnish a legacy.
