So normally I don't look too much into the styling of gas cars, but...

the last great American muscle car: the Dodge Challenger (trim: SRT Hellcat Widebody). It's being discontinued this year because Dodge is now focusing all their efforts on the Dodge EV, but there's definitely something alluring about it being the last of its generation. Just based on some Youtube shorts, it sounds sick

The top/rarest trim, the Demon version, has a very specific sound that would freak me out if I heard it at night and didn't know it was from a car:

The SRT Hellcat Widebody from my earlier screenshots costs $79k before any options, which is WAY more expensive than my car. Add some options and you easily get x2 the price! The Demon trim goes for $130-200k, which is just nuts.

I want to take one of these bad boys on a test drive at some point. Maybe I'll rent one on Turo if I ever see it, haha

This is the concept of the Dodge Charger EV, btw.

edit: more fun videos of the Challenger Hellcat.

It looks so out of place in Europe. I love the reaction at 14 seconds where one of the pedestrians starts filming the car.

The reaction of the three ladies 3 seconds into the video is priceless:

The Challenger is not something you see every day. I don't think anyone at work drives this car, and I haven't seen any in the city I live. I'll have to pay more attention when I go up to Washington DC haha there should be some over there. It's a perfect example of sheer American badassery.
Lovely cars.

@dmgtz96 @Gagi you might like to watch this film one night. Type of film I discovered with my dad in my teens. In the early 90s

Vanishing Point from 1971. (Searching for it just now i came across a remake i didn't know existed from 1997 !! but it has a totally different mission story and doesn’t look hardcore at all like the original from 1971 was. ☹️)

Full of the Dodge Charger V8 rumbles n roars. Its a cult classic film

End of an era. love the design of the new EV by the way.

We will be getting a new Mustang by 2024 it seems.

One of the tracks ive made to do live at my gig this weekend accidentally sounds extremely sexual. A woman says ‘ come with me’ (I added distortion) then a dub style drum stutter/shudder plays. Then another sample goes ‘ dance’. Might be a bit embarrassing so I’ve suggested my parents dont come. Its only a 20 min open mic and im doing one a month all year. Probably better do nicer music when they watch lol. They’re both around 80 years old. 👌

I've deleted multiple of my own accounts on reddit for a hobby I like simply because I fall in the "wrong" political opinion. A lot of extremely liberal people from Twitter migrated to the subreddit and basically only virtue-signal/act self-righteous.

Like, I'm liberal, and I still think these people take it WAY too far. I've noticed a rising anti-"virtue signal" sentiment though, which is good.

@jetflag This is rich coming from me :p
There’s a lot of that about lately.
Like Twitch streamers getting piled on because they are playing that new Harry Potter game :ROFLMAO:

New Harry Potter computer game has just come out, a lot of Twitch streamers are playing it and there’s been instances of people attacking them (verbally) because apparently by playing it you are somehow supporting JK Rowling’s views on trans people… not sure how it works tbh.

Like I’m no fan of hers or her beliefs in that respect, but the idea of cancelling someone’s fictional universe (which hundreds of other people have worked on) is a little bit strange to me.

ah, So this ties into the whole terf v trans wars

well that makes two of us lol, the logic is utterly lost on me aswell.

Its like: which is it going be folks? Trans-phobe? or Mysogenist? And newsflash, you can't win either way.. just choose your poison 🤷‍♂️ 😄

Or let people just play a fun videogame...and if you hate it, don't play it🤷‍♂️

this is why i'm a fan of the seperate the Art from the Artist philosophy. Even if she where female hitler and the only one doing all the work which as you point out isn't the case. -> the potter universe in itself is still magnificent in its originality, worldbuilding, ethos etc. (even though i'm personally not a fan)

My husband loves the game. Who doesn’t?

I don’t, I don’t care about Harry Potter. And tbh I’m basically single at the moment. 😂

Tbh I have no opinion of the Harry Potter video game. It seems to be REALLY successful, though, to the point that "cancelling" some Twitch streamers is going to be pointless.
Seen similar with the hobby I mentioned, where performers get "cancelled" because they don't have the liberal Western perspectives on feminism/cultural appropriation/some other political opinion and the terminally online Twitter crowd ruins everyone's fun.

tbh when it comes to "TERF" vs "trans" no one except super crazy feminist TERFs will call you a misogynist if you call out TERFs. After all, TERFs are pretty much invalidating the existence of trans women, so... fuck them

Let's just say feminists have two camps: those who are actually striving for gender equality and are reasonable people, and TERFs. The former do not like the latter.

edit: real liberals aren't friends/don't make allies with TERFs. TERFs' allies are right-wing conservatives and far-right people.

Invalidating the existence of trans women,
This is far left propaganda, and factually wrong.

No. the TERF position is that there is a catagorical difference between a women and a trans-woman. Which there is.

the TERF position is also that, when come the other way around, there no issues (woman turning trans-man)

and that as such (for instance) serial rapists who, after getting caught suddenly “identify as a women” so they can be put in women prisons where they can continue the practice, instead be placed in exclusive wings or male prisons.

seems reasonable to me, if you care about mysogeny and/or rape.

This is a very blinkered view of the situation.
When you have key members of the TERF/GC crowd calling trans people mentally Ill, perverts and or grooming paedophiles, you have to ask what part of that view aides in protecting women’s rights?

It is a complex subject and it is right to have civil discussions on the matter, but to tar an entire community because of the actions of a tiny minority is a dangerous path to tread.

Sure but that goes the other way round too. Just because you have a handful of bigoted radical feminists shouldn’t justify tarring an entire community of among which rape victims worried about men invading their spaces (and bodies) by normalising the idea that “personal identity” is sacrosanct and there is no such thing as biology.

As a more right leaning person I honestly don’t really have a horse in this race. The TERF v trans war is a colloquial example of “the left eats itself”

Huh? That seems like a TERF boogeyman talking point. How often does that actually happen, where a man suddenly "identifies as a woman" to continue raping women?

The whole TERF premise is invalidating the existence of trans women. I don't think the TERF perspective is reasonable. I think it needs to be called out and rightfully shunned in 2023.

@LostLegend is right. There is no hypocrisy to talk about as you suggested in your last comment

invalidating the existence of trans women
How? What does that even mean?

this phrase keeps popping up all the time in far left propaganda talking points but no one has ever been able to explain to me how acknowledging biological differences is somehow a form of not validating or acknowledging that trans women exist
