Dark theme or Light Theme - Which do you prefer?

Can we switch back to the light theme? i dont like the dark theme for trancefix.

Cmon the dark theme is so much sexier White theme has none of the updates or fine touches.

In seriousness though it was becoming too much effort to maintain and getting broken...BUT... I do have a soft-spot for the white theme, as it is OG TF. I plan on doing so big updates to the site in the coming months and will look to see if white theme can reintroduced. For now it will be dark only.

Sorry light theme fan boys but we will be killing it very soon. The recent and upcoming changes to the site makes it hard to maintain as everything must be duplicated and the white one is looking/feeling neglected. One day I might spend some time polishing up the light theme so it has same quality as the dark, but for now it must DIE.

Dang. I was just about to post about where the light theme went because it is a lot easier on the eyes and for reading forum threads and posts... in my opinion.

Fair enough, others have also said the same. We could potentially turn it back on, it's just that it doesn't get updated with the latest banners/interviews/totw. I also didn't apply the latest design improvements I made throughout the past year so to me it looks bit dated and not as well designed as dark mode. That said, none of that probably matters to you anyway

Will chat to guys about it, probably will end up turning it on if it generally makes a difference for you.

The only slight annoyance I have with the dark theme is that, despite your changes to the font weight, it's still quite difficult for me to distinguish threads with new posts from those already read.
Would it be possible to add a blue dot next to the title of unread threads, as it is for the sections?

Light theme amigos. I have not forgotten about your delicate little eyes. I will be working on an OG theme, brining back the white/grey/blue combos. 'Classic' style i'll call it. The issue we had before was that updating the content across both styles was a huge pain and white got neglected.

I will pay a developer to make me an add-on so that content updates happen automatically across both themes. It probably wont happen this year, but Its on my list of things to do. After doing some research into monitors I realise that some types really struggle with text on black backgrounds so its likely some of you are effected more by white on black than others.
