One of the most impressive trance tracks, i love this more than any other MIKE Push releases,

imho this should be called 'the real anthem'.

some weeks ago a teen girl played this at a illegal open air party, i have made a small video, but looks like i can't upload it here directly.

Discovered this gem thanks to Marusha's 1998 Love Parade set, first track! 💙

Was privileged to see her live last year by the way, though she played mostly her tunes :)

That little sound at 0:35 onwards reminds me of Mauro Picotto.
So, Extreme Trax = Airwave + M.I.K.E. + Phi Phi + Philippe van Mullen + Yves Deruyter?

I've been listening to trance for years and had no idea this project existed. Admittedly, when I saw its title was "Final Fantasy" I thought it was just going to be a remix of a random track from the Final Fantasy OSTs. I wonder what the story is behind this track...

Lol, the phasing effect at 5:50.
What made the open air party "illegal"? Noise? I've heard of illegal raves happening around the world, but I still can't wrap my head around why those would be... illegal?

You can clearly hear that's just M.I.K.E. himself, maybe with some ideas from Yves

Yeah, it sounds very much like a M.I.K.E. track. There doesn't seem to be much input from Airwave. I'm not too familiar with the work from the other producers to distinguish them.

I have a feeling Airwave has something to do with the strings at 3:19. Reminds me a bit of him, but who knows.

On a second listen, I think the synth melody becoming increasingly louder at 4:14 feels very Fire & Ice-ish, so that could have been Airwave's contribution too

The similarities between this track and Solar Factor - Urban Shakedown are uncanny. It's like both tracks use the same backbone but different melodies.

I agree, with a bit from Airwave for the melody. If I had to guess, this production is easily > 60% M.I.K.E.

Just read the credits on the vinyl, it says produced by Yves Deruyter and Dirk MIKE Dietrix.
