Yeah man I agree I don't agree with their opinions. His recent tracks are not up to par like his older tracks but that's pretty much the same across the board when it comes to trance music. All of them have lost form or lost their original sounds. I want to hear QUALITY Uplifting/euphoric/melodic trance like this just like what we had in the past.

Escape is one of the all-time great melodies of trance music. Jezper Söderlund was always a melodic master, and here he was at the very top of his game. As many others have said, it's pure trance melancholy, great for sad and/or rainy days.

Airbase - Escape and Arksun - Arisen are probably my two favourite tracks from 2006 (which was a pretty dire year for Trance in general IMO). 'Amateurish' sounds a mad thing to hear someone say, but of course we've all our own ears and thoughts on what sounds good in them. I think it's f**king great myself though!

I kinda get his critique. I love those intro sounds which is imo its trademark sounds, but alot of the other intstruments are a little "standard" for the time. Also the lead melody isnt too atrong on its own. But yeah it was still a classic for many. Arisen has a more unique approach overall

It's mesmerized me completely upon first hearing it, and I haven't been able to develop even the slightest bit of criticism for it. It's a mood rather than just a simple UpLiFtInG tRaNcE track, which is always a bonus. I haven't heard it in a while though, so thanks for bumping this everyone, even if with criticism.

I love this track "Escape" for me it's more nostalgic. These are some of the first trance tracks that I had on a flash drive in my first old phone. I was looking for sad trance tracks and there was this track in the offer on one of the forums) In my opinion, the track is quite unique and remains in the memory forever.

He is not wrong though discogs does indicated 2018 but it's a re-release.
