What's going on there? Lots of false notes, it sounds extremely bad? Is it an april fools joke? What the hell?
sounds he's put a pitchbend automation on it.

I assume its a not very succesfull attempt to "do something fresh" and "edgy experimental" 🤷‍♀️

Cool he is gone for a trance sound, even if it’s not really for me. I think it’s good that mainstream artists give exposure to Trance again

This is all about moment of surprise, which worked well this time! The track itself is quite average indeed, but well it was such an unexpected moment that even I had goosebumbs, so well done Hardwell :)

In 9 minutes you can listen to the 3 min track three times. That's 3 times as much money. Simple as that.

That Hardwell Remix is of the level of Cascada and Novaspace. It's pretty fun if you put it into that perspective.

But please... don't compare it to uplifting trance.

It is more like something as Photographer Remix of Castles In The Sky, yes, vocals are simple, easy-going and poppy-ish (and yes, Ellie has a vocal similar to Natalia's from Cascada), but instrumentally it is in general more close to some typical uplifting/138/steroid trance than to german handz-up... At least for my ears.

I hear Alphazone in the climax of the instrumental. Not Cascada or Rank1, but freaking Alphazone
I wouldn't go as far as to say this is Alphazone, but a simplified, water downed version of the type of lead and melody they usually created in their climaxes. For me, the lead is the best part of an otherwise generic uplifter.

^ yeah, but I mean like in terms of quality. It’s not Cascada in sound, but in its vibe. Like you said: simple, easy going, pop-dance. That’s what I meant.

it’s not uplifting trance, but pop-dance, like G-Spott - N-R-G. Which is fine btw.

For sure, the Alphazone synth is iconic and has much more depth to it, but this track still gave me Alphazone vibes

I think people are overreacting here haha - the melody in the Hardwell remix isnt too bad, sounds quite Alphazone-ish in the synths, nice notes, lots of energy.....and the vocals, their no worse than a lot of 'popular' vocal Trance anthems. But...im past caring anymore.

I dont mind the original - from the point of someone really commercial going back to a 90's Trance sound. It might make some of the younger generation go digging to the 90's...

There is something insanely off about the final released version, its compressed to hell (really noticable when the drop happens). So beside being just basic blandness, its also released in an awful productional state.

Finally got to listen to something made by Hardwell without my ears bleeding.
I guess he decided to change the ghostproducer who was eager to experiment with trance and techno (I had to fast forward some of his late stuff).
I prefer original, which reminds me of something between Robert Miles and eurotrance from early 2000's. I discovered the original mix thanks to Tiesto who told about this track to my friend, haha.

I hear Alphazone in the climax of the instrumental.
I thought I'd never see anyone mentioning Alphazone in regards to the Hardwell track, especially on trancefix 😅
The climax part sounds more like typical Gareth Emery/Ashley Wallbridge style from around 2011 I'd say. But I see what you mean.

Also just heard the Binary Finary remix - it's so generic that even Hardwell remix sounds more appealing to me.
