Hello everyone.

It has been a long journey for Julian's "El Sueno". I made this track close to a year ago when Activa asked me for a new Julian-original. And I'm really proud of the endresult, as it can't sound more 1999-y. Well, I am no Enigma State of course, but I do think this EP is really awesome. I hope you do too. It's a huge honor to have it on Borderline, as I can't help but thinking it's... a little different than usual... such an oldschool sounding release, I respect Rob for not giving a f*ck, and just release it.

Only recently I created the second track on the EP, a remix of "Sunda - Mirage". Also completely in 1999-Airscape style (ish). I simply loved the original and wanted to play around with it. Usually, I am a very slow producer. But this remix, from start to endproduct, took me around 2-3 weeks. Which is very fast for me. The lead sound is something I'm particularly happy with. I've never made something so close to an old Airscape sound (Des Mitchell, anyone?).

The release is set on January 19th. Pre-sales will be up on January 5th. So it will be the next release after Definitions & Char.

I'm a sucker for that gated saw stab sound. The Beauty of Silence, Silverblue - Step Back, Airbase - Genie etc.

I'm sorry guys for not saying enough nice words at the start about tf crew tracks taken from movement vol1 cd.

Maybe it was the overall mix mastering / eq activa trying to make it sound like a journey mix but now that I'm hearing these separately as single I'm left amazed with the quality and depth from your stuff specially the Mirage remix wow wish it was on the cd, maybe it'll get a spot on vol 2 cd.

Best compilation mix of 2023 hands down it keeps getting better more i listen to it.

Yours, Aerium, Chris Johnson & Andre maier tracks have been the biggest highlight for me (aside from usual big names/collabs/reworks).

Thanks mate. Really appreciate your comment. The remix will most likely not be on a Vol2. But I did send in a new Julian original a few days ago that is being considered.

Well mate, I remember you saying you sort of liked the Borderline releases, but a lot of them are in the same style/sound.

And I see you doubting about trance (forums) in general, so I'd like to invite you to check out this one.

A real "classic" release on Borderline. What do you think?
