Man I felt really demotivated lately, radio I was on went defunct, I was working on two trance songs, spoiler alert I think they both sucked. My motivation to do music really went downhill when I had to reject my first real offer to dj on top of that. All that in one month, but i think I finally managed to bounce back with my first and only song in a whole month.

I'm actually moving closer to my work in the summer, my current commute of about an hour each way is not fun
I live fairly far from my work and my average daily commute to the office is 1.5 hours in one direction. Suffice to say my commute is the most stressful thing in my work. Combine all that with the rush hours in London and sometimes I feel like The Hulk when using public transport.
^ don’t be so harsh on yourself.

The wedding hardly counts as dj-ing 😉 and one song in a month? Why is that bad? I only make like one in a year, plus maybe a remix… it’s not about quantity anyway.
It's because I find myself procrastinating a lot with youtube or videogames. But than on the other side apart from that I don't have any free time to myself with 12 hours roughly wasted on work and commuting.

I believe that hard work pays off and the more songs I write even if they are demos or unfinished the more I can learn, experiment with different things, progress further.

Whenever I made a new track... Sometimes I might make another version of that track, or whatever...

When the whole project is completed.... then I'm always sort of "blank" for multiple weeks. I don't have any energy, no feeling, no enthusiasm to make music. It's like I had a baby and I'm done for a while.

Does anyone of you have something similar?
Yeah me too.
Not necessarily after every track, but I go through patches where I feel super motivated to make music, I'll work on a couple of tracks, then it'll disappear for a while.
The frustrating thing is, I seem to get a ton of ideas when I'm at work, feel really eager to get back and make something, but by the time I get home I am too tired to do anything 😩

imagen being a "professional" producer, who's living and therefor music style even, depends on it.

Haha I know, right!

I'd fold within a couple of months 😂
Even if one could manage from a "just forcing myself into it" perspective, just think of the absolute creative bankrupcy you'd be pulled into.

I had the distinct displeasure of forcing myself to turn on the radio in the car the other day and guess what popped up: A timeless classic absolutely gangraped. 😄 😄

Its so sad its funny.

You know when Guetta first started hitting the the charts on a regular basis in the late 2000's, collabing with rappers and the like, I gave him a bit of a pass for it.
The guy had been around for years and was DJ'ing small underground house venues in France in the 80's, so I thought "he's paid his dues and it just setting up his retirement fund..."

At this point I'm sick of him and his sickening brand of Coachella friendly Pop-EDM. Him, Tiesto, Armin, Garrix and the rest of them can suck it as far as I'm concerned.

I really did like David Guetta’s first dance hits though. Love don’t let me go, love is gone, the world is mine. Tasteful commercial dance music imo.
Memories (2009), Dangerous (2014), Hey Mama (2015) were great imo
Ironically, Bebe Rexha (the singer from that I'm Blue song) was also featured in Hey Mama. I had no idea, but then again in that song Nicki Minaj probably sang 90%+ of the song.
His EDM hits like Shot Me Down and Bad are forgettable. They were okay for their time but don't have the nostalgic factor and sound meh today.

David Guetta - In Love With Myself (Benassi Remix) is not bad either. But that's a horrible remix seriously I never knew you dutch people would have horrible musical taste of voting that horrible remake as #1.

Meanwhile at Twitter

This is outside their headquarters

Also these too as well

everything there is spot-on!

here's another interesting twitter thread

Sooo I’m told by two people that the entirety of Twitters payroll department has resigned/not elected to sign up for Elons Twitter 2.0
9:06 PM · Nov 17, 2022·Twitter Web App

People are genuinely unsure how this company functions come next week. As is, some emergency contractors are going to have to come in asap just to cut checks.

In addition to the payroll team being gone, Twitter's entire US tax team is gone, I'm told, along with its financial reporting team. Not great.

Elon Musk called in his SpaceX CFO for some meetings and calls held today to try and convince people to stay by pitching Musk's vision for Twitter. Didn't work. Some people are still around in accounting though, I'm told.

bro... when payroll, tax, and financial reporting are gone...
these are the backbone of every company, no matter what it does. If they're gone, your company is legit destroyed
