not going to draw any conclusion until I’ve actually read this latest apparently official UFO report..

the previous case video was a bitter disappointment in terms of the quality of evidence

Bought this set of space exploration E-books the other day.
11 titles.

some by NASA.

The first title. The secret life of space…Renowned scientists and authors Nigel Henbest and Heather Couper also uncover the unsung heroes and heroines who have been overlooked in the history of scientific endeavor. These stories include the computer engineer who discovered more exploding stars in his back garden than anyone else in history, the teacher who developed the basis for radio astronomy and the sanitary engineer who found evidence of life on Mars. Finally, they look to today’ s increasing possibility of space travel as we push the frontiers of discovery and ask the perennial question, is there life out there?

I Will download explore and…
ReVeAL.

Sorry, I call bullshit on this.

Haha yeah yeah I know, it definitely sounds unbelievable, but those defence intelligence individuals really are indeed implying strongly, or in some cases directly saying that the UAPS are not human.

For example this is only from yesterday, the former Director of National Intelligence on national TV. Role is responsible for overseeing all intelligence agencies in the US e.g CIA, FBI, NSA, NGI, Pentagon and so on. He access and info to all the data being presented, across 18 different intelligence agencies.

“Very clearly there are now 100s pf unexplained sightings. There are no natural phenomena involved, there’s no visual disturbance, it’s not clutter or debris or birds or anything else, but objects that demonstrate technologies that seem to defy the law of physics and capabilities that we don’t have as the worlds superpower." ONe more pilot coming to say he has seen things that are 'impossible' in the sky. This time multiple lights flying in circular motion 1000feat above his fighter jet. No aircraft of humans can operate at those altitudes and speeds.

Because our measures and knowledge of the universe has only been available for around ( im roughly guessing) 400 years.( first devices created to measure stuff) Is it not possible that some theories of how this phenomena exist just havent been proved on a physics level. I mean in terms of the amount of years we have been on this planet as humans, ( homo sapiens) 300,000 years…400 years worth of pretty solid theory to come to conclusions about ALL physics or space phenomena is not long. Surely there are just things that happen and no one has enough information yet to form a provable theory or even a solid one.

How ever I think we would all love there to be intelligence from other parts of the universe visiting us. If there are, they might make more of an impresson on the plethora of dangerous/stupid people on this planet than humans can 😊

Edit: Given details provided by John Radcliffe in the video provided on here i belive my first statement does not hold true. Definitely something weird going on. 🤔

a Fox-network talkshow youtube video....Thats the official report that "proves" it must be aliens..

Was just responding to Perpetous Dreamer, he reckoned my claims of high ranking intelligence officials saying that the UAPs were alien was bullshit, so just showing him recent video to show that it is indeed true. The network is irrelevant, it doesn't change John Ratcliffe's words, his quote is there plain to see.

The report is basically the same as what we had before, only new info is that the sightings have continued and then breaks it down into explained and unexplained (171). Ratcliffe of course has seen the data on the unexplained, he is telling us it cannot be explained prosaically, that its technology based, and that its beyond anything the US (or humans) could envision. Writing is literally on the wall.

Fair enough. I was so hoping to finally get a link to the actuall report, hence my dissapointment.

Right then, after me asking 3(!) times for a link in this thread I went on a find the report myself, because as we all know, extraordinary claims requires the receiving end of that to go and find the extraordinary evidence themselves..

https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/Unclassified-2022-Annual-Report-UAP.pdf

And I for one am glad the report is more honest than the reporting on the report.

Second paragraph in and the report already reads quote:

“Assumptions:
Multiple factors affect the observation or detection of UAP, such as weather, illumination, atmospheric effects, or the accurate interpretation of sensor data. Regarding review or analysis of UAP events, ODNI and AARO operate under the assumption that UAP reports are derived from the observer’s accurate recollection of the event and/or sensors that generally operate correctly and capture enough real data to allow initial assessments. However, ODNI and AARO acknowledge that a select number of UAP incidents may be attributable to sensor irregularities or variances, such as operator or equipment error.”

Then later on: In the chapter “continued reporting and robust analysis are providing better fidelity on UAP events, but many cases remain unresolved” (so basically the 171 “real” UFO’s)

“The majority of new UAP reporting originates from U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force
aviators and operators who witnessed UAP during the course of their operational duties and
reported the events to the UAPTF or AARO through official channels. Regardless of the
collection or reporting method, many reports lack enough detailed data to enable attribution of
UAP with high certainty.”

So basically, all very vague (but how, pray tell, since we had that super-duper most advanced aerial surveillance system on the planet??) and derived from reporting post hoc from other institutions, instead of the institute recording the data themselves directly, which is always going to cause mouse-piece-of-cheese problems. They are, again very much to their credit, quite upfront about that.

What the report doesn’t show (to my chagrin):
  • Actual data.
  • Actual data properly cross referenced, so are the (say) 50+ radar sightings dependent or independent of camera capture and ground surveillance etc.
  • Indexing (so how did they determine this was a weather phenomenon or not etc.)
  • And, most importantly, Independent peer review of said data.
The “final and obvious conclusion” of the report is and still remains the interpretation of a UFO fanatic who so happens to be a high ranking officer..And no amount of ad veracundeam/ testimony is going to be sufficient as evidence to proof these sightings are therefor known-physics breaking down and therefor Aliens. No matter the rank or position. That’s just not how it works.

End rant and conclusion for now:

This (at least to me, you lot are obviously free to make of this whatever you want of course) is again one of those examples of the press and adherents taking the ball with that and running..Every news outlet, like the linked fox news one, doesn’t even go through the motion showing or hinting any new “evidence”, and uses the same old goddamn screenshot of a duck being parallax recorded at 0.52 in, as well as that afterburner plume switching on and off recorded in infra-red later on. They lead the "evidence" where they want it to go. You could replace Ratcliffe with a devout PhD graduated Cleric with a Pilot’s licence and get sold the “final and obvious conclusion” that these are angelic beings because their description so fits that of insert text from X holy book over here.

I for one find the actual evidence wanting as usual.

But..

will, when taking an evening stroll under the night sky, look up, hope and pray, that in my lifetime we’ll see some actual evidence of Extra terrestrial life or tech, forever hopefully solving the fermi paradox. 🙏

Here in this lovely interview, Professor Brian Cox talks about the likely hood of other civilisations given the amount of galaxies in our universe.
Quite inspiring.
Fermi paradox is mentioned.

quite frighting also. If you consider the silence might be intentional.

I read a great waitbutwhy article a while back about the Fermi paradox and they speculated on the reasons why we’ve found no concrete evidence of life in the universe.

The more terrifying suggestions were that we are possibly the first or even last civilisation to reach this point of technology.
Either everyone else has no way of making themselves know or they are already all long extinct.

My favourite theory (although definitely the most ‘out there’ one) is that life is all around, but it is so far advanced compared to us, that we don’t even recognise it as alien life.
He goes on to talk about how far back in time you’d have to go to bring a ancestor to our time before the shock of witnessing something like Times Square lit up at night could actually kill them.
At most, you are talking a few hundred thousand years.

Then imagine a species a million years more advanced than us (a minute amount of time on a galactic scale)
What would they and their technology look like and would we even be able to recognise it as alien life?

Far out man! 🥴✌️

still begs the question. why is it so quiet? And/or why have we not picked up the chatter from its early development in the fabric of spacetime's past?

I feel some white noise on its way through my synth oscillations! ( and i dont mean too much fx)

radio white noise sound from the origin of the universe ( supposedly )

[The Director of National Intelligence claims are] the interpretation of a UFO fanatic who so happens to be a high ranking officer.

Do you really believe this? Is this honestly the best counter theory we have for the head of US intelligence saying these things? For a start he is a hard right, openly practicing christian, that believes "God created the earth". So how do you reconcile that against a supposed fanatical belief in alien visitation? They are diametrically opposed.

Well first. I don't need to present a counter theory, you (or the head of the NSA) needs to demonstrate yours/his sufficiently first. And so far all thats presented is:

- reports without data
- vague data that can be explained away by far more mundaine causes
- Ad Verancundeams, and leading the "evidence" rather then following it.

Non of that^ even in tango are enough to substantiate/hold the claims of > Therefor Aliens visiting or > Therefor all known physics wrong. At best they are far fetched options on the table, but defo not the final conclusion.

As to the question do I believe the guy is a UFO fanatic? Well yes.. I think it to be quite likely yes, a UFO fanatic or someone who believes in Aliens visiting is not precisely something uncommon or unheard of, even those with high IQ or status...And the man is at the end of the day just a (hu)Man and humans are quircky little apes with quircky beliefs (including me lol)

he is a hard right, openly practicing christian, that believes "God created the earth". So how do you reconcile that against a supposed fanatical belief in alien visitation? They are diametrically opposed.

How? both concepts aren't mutually exclusive, even in a Christian context. Afaik (but correct me if i'm wrong here) but The classic Biblical (or Torah/Quranic) scriptures simply don't mention anything about (potential) alien life, neither confirming nor excluding it.. and the Mormon bible openly preaches it.
